He did assist the first goal though, OT started to relax from that point. Got the ball rolling. Didn't he play a part in the second as well? It's a shame for Berbie doll. When you're on the bench and you can see Rooney being a complete passenger, must hurt a lil bit. |

yh Rooney was a passenger for most of the he was on, assisted the first goal, and pinged an inch perect ball to valencia the play for the second, he lifted the crowd, the players and probably the bayern defenders. must be hard for berba to talk knowing that fergie would rather keep a half fit rooney on the pitch. |

Rooney was more effective in the first ten minutes than the other 45 he played. Once he started moving a bit awkwardly people were getting worried. Then Olic scored and the whole atmosphere changed. |

i'm not reading through 35 pages. so to sum it up: cant believe we went 3 nil up to lose. truly gutted. nani, valencia, rafael all did awesomely. dont think rafael should have got that second yellow. very soft, and wouldnt have happened if ribery and his crew hadnt gone over and crowded the ref like that. that bayern goal...was it robben? smacked it in with his laces and curled around VDS. utterly incredible goal. anyway, congrats to bayern, stepped up their game but i'd like to think it woulda been a different story if we had 11 men. second CL in a row for barcelona i think i was hoping for that record.on another note, f*ck you ribery, we dont want you at our club

They showed on sky sports this morning, the ref's hand went straight for his pocket. Before he'd even blown his whistle and summoned Rafael over. Before the Bayern players bar Ribery even got there. |

although rooney had a hand in two goals,he shoudnt have been on the pitch,it was a risk we didnt need to take. talking about players who shouldnt have been on the pitch WTF was carrick doing on there, that feeble challenge he made for the first goal was a joke, and he lost the ball "again" for the corner that produced the second,at one point valencia was running down the wing, and when he looked up for assistance carrick didnt want the ball, what kind of forking midfielder is he |

well boo you coz i never watched sky sports this morning my other theory is that he went for his pocket not realising that he had already booked him, so he just thought oh, its only a yellow, i'll give it to shut these fools up. then he couldnt go back when it finally dawned on him (the moment they all rushed over telling him its a red) he couldnt go back and change his mind or he would look silly.yes thats exactly how it happened. okay minus the other players getting involved, still a soft decision. poor kid. |
