Tadpole's Excrement
|
Nottingham Forest are currently in 3rd place in the Coca Cola Championship, but looking at it, their side is comprised of ex Derby County players. Manager, Billy Davies, took Derby County to the Premier League in his first season in charge, but left after losing 10 out of 12 Premier League games. Striker, Robert Earnshaw, signed from Derby County after relegation to the Coca Cola Championship. He scored only 1 goal in 22 appearances for The Rams in the Premier League. Dexter Blackstock also played for The Rams. He had a brief loan spell in 2005, coming on loan from Southampton. He made 9 appearances with 3 goals. The first choice goalkeeper at Forest, Lee Camp, is well known to Derby fans. He spent 5 years at Pride Park Stadium before moving to QPR. Steve Sutton, a coach at Nottingham Forest, spent 4 years at Derby County. He made 61 first team appearances for The Rams and is a well known past player to Rams fans. David Kelly, former assistant manager of Derby County also jumped ship to Nottingham Forest when Billy Davies was named Manager in 2009. Julian Darby, very cleverly named, was a coach at Derby County from 2006 to 2009, before moving to Nottingham Forest to join Billy Davies. Darby pledged his future to Derby after Billy Davies left the club in 2007, but soon moved on when Davies came knocking. Steve Devine was a key member of staff at Derby County for 12 years, working as a sports therapist. He moved down Brian Clough Way to join Forest in 2003. |

oh :P god knows. I reckon theyll get in a couple of new players because it was Davies that got Derby up then went on to buy a load of players for undeserved fees that flopped. But, Nottm Forest can play good football with the team that they have now, and I doubt Davies will go on a spree like he did last time. He'll focus on stylish football, similar to what Birmingham have done this season. We bought in Summer; Robert Earnshaw - record signing, scored once Tyrone Mears - got fed up of management and forked off Claude Davies - £3m? LOL! Andy Griffin - average Lewis Price - signed, played, replaced in January Kenny Miller - scored the winner in our only win We bought in January; Lauren Robert - played once and was released again Robbie Savage - played awfully in the Premier League Emanuel Villa - nobody had ever heard of him, because he was rubbish Mile Sterjovski - played a lot and was a decent signing Roy Carroll - was thought of as a great signing for Derby, but he got lobbed about 3 times a game Alan Stubbs - played well before becoming injured and retiring Ruben Zadkovich - reserves |

Hmmm winning football is better than stylish football though. It's no good doing a West Brom like last season where they were praised for playing nice football but get relegated. Thoe January signings are awful. Just because some of them used to play for a bigger clubs doesn't mean they are still good.

Although to be fair, those January signings were actually made by our favourite manager ever, Paul Jewell.
