So there's still money there if they need it and that's not including any transfer budget from last season.

Remember they bought Berbatov for £30m under the current owners too.

look at what you spent the season before...pennies....

remember liverpool

when the new owners came we spent loads and then it went dead like it has at united...

the money is gone flak...fergy should still have around 90 million to spend

80m ronaldo plus 30m budget....he spent 20m!, now he has spent like 17m! he should have 30m for next season summer as well on top...but he has very little

united are skint flak....how are you going to pay off the debt? answer me that...

you barely made a profit with an 80m ronaldo sale and not counting the interest from your pkr loans...

if you counted their interest you would have paid around 15-20m more on the balance sheet books. united are going to make a huge loss in the latest accounts. around 40m

Maybe Fergie thought that the team didn't really need anybody since they had just won the Premiership and got to the Champions League final.

Obviously he isn't going to be given all of the Ronaldo money but there must still be some there with trying to buy Benzema and then Tevez, both of which were £25m or more.

They can worry about the debt, I trust that they know what they are doing and will want to protect their investment...

fergie's biggest mistake possibly of all his time at utd was thinking they good do just as well without properly replacing tevez and ronaldo

Lfc you don't know Utds finances anymore than we do, so all you're doing is guessing.

It's a fact that we tried to get Tevez and Benzema as Flak said for around 50 mil total. Add that to the 18 mil we paid for Valencia and you have 68 mil. It doesn't quite fit in with your theory the club is broke does it?

Obviously the debt the club has over it's head is worrying and at some point it has to come to a head but saying we are flat broke is ridiculous imo.

Also you mention we can't pay the big gun wages anymore, which big guns are these? Utd have never been like Real and buying the Zidanes, Ronaldos etc

He was good up until his celebration against Arsenal Stacie. Then it all seems to have gone wrong for him.

i think it's hard to sell utd to top players at the moment they aren't as dominant as they were if you sign you have no guarantee on how long fergie will stay on and if u have a choice of joining utd or barca/madrid u have to pay 25% more tax on your wages if u join utd

By our own admittedly high standards we have.

The reason Utd are still even in this race is down to Chelsea deterioration.

yeah good point but remember united usually go all out for english players

I definitely think united will go for milner or young in the summer....wouldnt surprise me if they get one of the athl keepers and then loan him out. berba may be sold as well

They've just won 3 Premierships in a row and got to two Champions League finals Norwich! Admittedly Spain is the big attraction right now but United are still the pick of the Premier League clubs imo.

But United have played the same teams as Chelsea and it's been a funny old season with all clubs. :S
