Saturday 17th April Sunderland v Burnley Birmingham v Hull Stoke v Bolton Fulham v Wolves Blackburn v Everton Sunday 18th April Portsmouth v Villa ..... Wouldn't be too surprised to see a few away wins from the Saturday games. All of the home teams are safe in midtable. |

i think its crunch time for villa and everton so they will be out to win, pompy and blackburn will make it tough but they will both scrap a win |

I'll be betting on Everton. Blackburn created zip last week against United but defended well but Everton have more strike power than United had that day. Villa should beat Portsmouth. |

But Everton also have less in defence imo - making it better for us to actually attack back. I think it'll be a draw to be honest but I doubt an Everton win. They'd only be the 4th team to beat Blackburn at Ewood since Allardyce took over and I think that's a feat they'll struggle to achieve. Rovers want to do well in the remaining fixtures to get a top ten finish and most importantly a bigger transfer budget (£750k per place is like a new player per place or per couple of places with Big Sam). |

True but I know which team i'd back to score more goals if given the choice between the two. Will the players be motivated to winning the club more money and putting their place in the team in doubt?

I'd say so - just look at recent performances since being 'safe' - drawing with United and playing how we had to in order to get a result and tbh the players know that we need strikers - Kalinic will be dying to have a second striker come in rather than playing alone and the the rest of the team won't be affected. I don't reckon there'll be many goals. Mainly because Jones is at centre back with Samba injured When he's played in the last 5 matches we've only conceded 5 goals. Allardyce has said he won't be keen on giving Basturk a chance soon unless we win today.

I was only joking about them not wanting new players to come in. What has happened to the other strikers btw?Basturk still hasn't played? |

Jason Roberts is a donkey, Di Santo is a donkey in exactly the same way - he can't score - and we sold McCarthy. Kalinic has been fantastic as far as lone strikers go but he needs another good striker up alongside him. Basturk picked up a groin strain a month or so back and to be fair, you can hardly justify dropping anybody from the team at the moment to give him a chance. Allardyce says he won't play today but if we win, he may consider giving Basturk a chance in another match, possibly against Arsenal or one of the other teams we have to play. Likely to be as a substitute though. |

So you wouldn't be keen on keeping Di Santo as a permanent option anymore then? I thought you liked his allround play. Basturk used to be a good player, will be interesting to see how he gets on. |

Di Santo started off well and then tailed off, he never really found his scoring boots but Kalinic is better all round. I don't think Di Santo has offered much for us and it is a shame. I don't know what it was but after his first few matches he just didn't do much. And as for Basturk, if anybody can get the best out of him at his age it is Allardyce. I am going to go for a 0-0 draw. I hope so because I'm working and can't go to the match so need something to cheer me up. |

Hmmm seems strange unless something changed, did he get dropped when he was playing well or something? £5 says Everton win.
