Inter well deserved that. Completely out worked barca when they had'not the ball. Showed more hunger and appitite for the game. Barca really struggled with players like Keita, Busquets and Alves. Zanetti was outstanding again at both left back and right back for Inter |

SOS Has anybody seen Messi? ![]() Good performance by Inter, especially their pressing high up the pitch giving Barcelona a taste of their own medicine. Andy Gray's mistakes were at a premium tonight, he called the Emirates Highbury and the Nou Camp the Bernabeu amongst other things.

Yup somebody posted it in the goals of the week thread. Bet you are wondering why Arsenal couldn't keep it tight like that against them.

Just want to say it was a great night of European football. I thought Inter were outstanding and Mourinho put on a masterclass. Inter produced the team performance of the year, went a level beyond what they produced in Stamford Bridge! At the back Lucio and Samuel were immense. Maicon was strong as was Cambiaso. Eto'o and Milito were a constant menace and Sneijder was irresistible! But the main applause has to go to Zavier Zanetti! A class act! 36 years of age and with the engine of a steam boat! He along with Cambiaso marshaled Messi very well and drove him out the field to receive the ball! All in all it was a great performance from Inter and hats off to them, they were well worth their victory on the night. As for Barca, they were quite lack lustre and sloppy in defence! It wasn't until they went 3-1 behind that they began to play with huge purpose. I thought Ibrahimovich was a disgrace. In contrast to Eto'o there was no comparison. Xavi got on the ball more than any other player but didn't scale the heights he did in the quarter final matches. Busquets looked to do the right things but he found the strength of Cambiasso and Motta hard to deal with and Keita really struggled. Perhaps Yaya Toure might be an option for the Camp Nou. Messi was very well marshaled by Inter but he'll still be disappointed that he couldn't influence the game higher up the pitch. He probably should have pulled over to the right more often, Alves over lapping would have created more room for him. Pep Guardiola's interview after the game was dignified, he applauded Inter's performance and refused to use the journey as an excuse. He said they'll give it a right go in the watered pitch in the Nou Camp! . I think Barca still can win it but will need massive performances from Messi and Xavi, they've done before and there's nothing suggesting they won't do it again. Inter know how to score against Barca and Mourinho has them playing some great stuff. I predict a very, very long night at the Camp Nou next Wednesday!

I thought it was a bit boring at times tbh. A lot of huff and puff from one team but no real end product or anybody to get onto the end of their crosses they kept throwing in. The so called best player in the world was nowhere to be seen and when he was 1 on 1 with Zanetti he messed it up. ![]() Inter did ok going forward but should have had more. Balotelli was probably the most entertainng player onthe pitch. Have you heard Materassi was fighting with him in the tunnel.
