yossi is approaching 30 next month, with ltd funds we have to look to get a good price whilst we can, babel still may come good and add to potential future sell on value.

i too liked riera, a genuine winger, probably the only real one at the club!

hey player, i see you reading, what did you think to the game mate?

Well since we are looking at other wingers in the summer both could be on the way out.

Hey Blah, I thought it was pretty frustrating to be honest. We played well at times but when it came to it I don't think we were good enough to make the final, Atletico were the better team over two legs.

In general I think it summed up the season. It highlighted the flaws yet again which were apparent all season.....

1. The squad is full of very average players.
2. Gerrard has never been and never will be the type of central midfielder we need to control games and get play moving and no shifting around of players will replace Alonso.
3. There is no consistency or progression in the team.
4. The team is toothless without Torres.

Like they'll be alot of hard luck stories and people saying that we deserved to go through etc etc. But that would side step the gauling flaws!

theres certainly a few blatant flaws to be addressed.

agreed about being toothless without torres up front. Atletico retained possesion very well making it difficult for us.

just frustrating realy nothing more to add i guess :( ..story of our season !

Babel's workrate was really good last night, looked like he had something to prove for once. Think some of his crosses were made to look poorer than they actually were by crap movement in the box.

No he didn't

Rafa can ruin his mindset and confidence, but he can't suck his technical ability or brain away..

If the confidence goes, I would have thought that does affect your technical ability to perform under stressful situations?

What brain

Babbel was never that good in the first place so I really don't get where people are getting this myth from. He always had potential but with his attitude he's never going to fulfil it.

He never had a brain but he could be useful, fair play to rafa the one place on the pitch where he can guarantee babel will be useless is left wing and he plays him there every game

When he has never been able to dribble without standing on the ball, and has the touch of a brickwall, I'm pretty sure it's not Rafa's fault.
