Teams in Serie A have been hit by a ban limiting the number of foreign players they can sign.

The new rule - brought in by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) - means clubs can only bring in one non-EU (European Union) player each season.

The signing can only be brought in to replace another non-EU member of the squad and the new cap is a reduction from the previous level of two players.

The decision was made following Italy's shock exit from the World Cup finals in South Africa, where the reigning champions were sent home bottom of Group F.
Can't imagine that it will make all that much difference. :S The homegrown rule should fair better.

Milans forked - Dinho, Silva and Pato are all non eu players, though Dinho might have Spanish nationality.

I think it's only on buying new players. That's why I said the homegrown rule will be better and make Inter not have a full team of foreigners (loads of South Americans there).

Bow to the king mother forkers!
Maybe it had something to do with Inter winning the CL without a single Italian in the first team.

No i dont think its that team. Its a nice job for O'Leary. He has been out of work for 4 or 5 years, gets paid a fortune i would guess and gets to live in UAE. I doubt there will be the same amount of pressure on him that there was at Leeds or even Villa. A nice job if u ask me. I might sent my CV over there, make a few adjustments to it.

It means you sign just 1 non EU player per season instead of the old rule of 2 per season, not a big deal at all
