Good performance. Particularly from Cole, Kelly and Pacheco.

I also thought gerrard was class in the playmaker role. he should start with lucas in cm for rest of the season imo or another cm if we bring another one in

Randolph
He certainly looked lively and has a good turn of pace but I was a little disappointed with his end product if I'm honest. Still not bad for his home debut :thumb:

Good performance against a very poor team, let's hope we can implement some of this attacking play against better teams.

Nice training session. I was looking forward to Pacheco most before we kicked off, he was very hot and cold for me. Touch seemed heavy and I think he was trying to hard. His movement and availablity were very good, and on another day if he got the ball when he wanted it, he may have scored one or two.

The new lads seemed to have settled in well, both Cole and Jovanovic were very impressive, Cole did show once or twice why I don't rate him that highly - over dribbling and mishitting the ball. That is being very critical though, it was a good performance overall, just a pity he didn't get the goal he deserved. Jovanovic was naturally world class; his desire and determination were really a class above everyone tonight. I love his turn of pace and the fact he doesn't shy away from taking men on, but I will echo Papas thoughts on his end product, it can be better. Nice performance though, standing ovation when he was subbed off.

I'm a bit confused with the critisms of Lucas on this thread, did his job very well in my opinion, and when he ventured forward he looked dangerous enough. Nice to see both him and Gerrard given the license to get forward. Each player covered well for each other and Gerrard in particular was class tonight, struggling to remember any misplaced passes from him - his long range passing is such a joy.

The biggest positive tonight though for me was the perfomance of Martin Kelly. He really does look a great prospect, competant all across the back four and he had no problems on his weaker side. Great threat from corners, and an excellent cross on him. I'd have no problem having to rely on him for a few months of the season.

Success is winning championships. It is nothing less than that. And when you win a championship – and we will – success isn't measured or accomplished by winning once

Some erect nipples in this thread. Good result but I'd fancy that team United played last night to beat Robotnik. Can only beat what is in front of you, but no different to pre season in terms of team quality imo.

AA played pretty deep to pick up the ball and passed it very well.

I honestly cant see why Spearing hangs around he will never make it
