Liverpool will finish in the top 4. Arsenal haven't a hope though.
You just watched a game without our 2 best players, good judgement.

Gutted, absolutely forking gutted. Just fork off Arsenal.
exactly how I feel
Why the fork are you gutted when it was the most just result, we dominated the first half, you dominated the 2nd 1-1 is fair and you guys are taking it as a defeat ffs
If you created a chance and scored it then I would feel gutted but obv say fair enough. but 10 men and we gift you an own goal. this feels like a defeat for us
But it was a draw, a fair draw, neither deserved to win this. liverpool were dirty as fork, gerrard should have been sent off twice. Cole;s tackle was bad but in fairness not a red.
you were just as bad, wilshere and a couple of other bad tackles mate, same as us really

when a team gifts you a goal at the last minute, the other team will feel robbed

imagine if you were 1-0 up and almunia does that, you would feel the same

this is a defeat tbh
Wilshere's was a badly executed, one footed ball attempt, quite clearly as was Rosicky's and then Gerrard ended up going in even more dangerously into rosicky the dirty scum

But Cesc does have arsenal in his heart, you don't captain a club that nurtured your talent and suddenly not want to perform there ffs

I could say the same about Rooney, as you've said about Cesc.

EDIT: Not that he doesn't want to be at the club, before you say.

Liverpool were bad but worryingly, Arsenal were even worse. I honestly cannot see Liverpool finishing in the top 4 this season and with Arsenal, we'll have to wait and see but I'd also guess not. I would say 5th and 6th and (wouldn't like to bet which way round) with, Spuds, City, Utd and Chelski making up the top 4 in no particular order.
Altho it's way too early to make those sorts of predictions I agree with the rest. Liverpool are a team of battlers, but they lacked any creativity today. Arsenal were just all over the shop, couldn't make a telling pass. They looked badly in need of Fabregas today AND an instictive striker up front.
Tbf our main man was out, and our creative outlet which the formation relys heavily upon, was sent off. Can't see how anyone can right us off after that.
I was talking about the first half before Cole got sent off. Your midfield battle and win the ball but once they have they didn't know what to do with it, hence why Arsenal got it straight back again. Arsenal were there own worst enemy, dawdled on the ball and getting closed down, mis-directed passes or just unable to break down the dogged 9 Liverpool men behind the ball, and all of that was in the first half.

I agree tho it's first game, a difficult one and it's too early to make judgements about where anyone will finish.
I have thought they would both be displaced from the top 4 from the end of last season. Arsenal haven't really strengthened where they need to yet, and a good goalkeeper and a couple of other players will be key for their success. As for Liverpool, I just don't think they're that good.
For the most part Liverpool were happy to sit back, against lesser teams will tell exactly how Hodgson does with Liverpool. So I think it's too early to tell for them. Javo looks a decent purchase tho imo.

Wenger didn't change his game plan, but they looked pretty average. They lacked any spark in midfield. There wasn't much I saw from Wilshire to see what all the talk is about tbh, and Chamakh was poor. I liked Nasri in the 1st half, but the rest of the team weren't on his wavelength. I really think they're going to struggle without Fabregas.

Regardless, I think Arsenal are too inconsistent and struggle to play against some teams who pressure the ball. Let's face it, you haven't strengthened in positions Arsenal fans admit they need to strengthen in, GK in particular. The fact of the matter is that other teams such as City have done or didn't need to strengthen particularly, like in the case of Spurs. Arsenal need to be more adaptive when playing against different styles but every season we've been hearing 'This is the season the team will gel'. Maybe it just won't.

Maybe I'm too pessimistic and you'll finish comfortably in the top 4. But the fact that you couldn't break down a ten man Liverpool team except for an own goal goes to show that with your two best players (who are often injured), you will struggle. RVP is a walking sick note, for example.

so all of arsenals tackles are badly executed while arsenals tackles were not, right.
