Liverpool will finish in the top 4. Arsenal haven't a hope though.
You just watched a game without our 2 best players, good judgement.
he just explained himself
But Cesc does have arsenal in his heart, you don't captain a club that nurtured your talent and suddenly not want to perform there ffs
   yeah thats why he wants to play for barca
<_< your reactions add nothing to this debate

Keeper and defender in this week is a must.
GK, and 2 CB IMO is a minimum.

Then you will finish top 4, if not I think you will finish outside.

Been hearing that for 4 years.
Well hear it again, I think you AND Liverpool will be out of the top 4 this year without vast improvement.

When were Arsenal NOT going to finish outside the top 4 cesc

I admit we didn't look good but it's ONE game, people (myself included, perhaps) are going OTT. We have a lot of improving to do but both teams can play better - and I think most people will be able to admit that. What worries me is that we still don't have enough players. I'm not worried about form but having to worry about the defenders is a concern and as for Almunia, well... If Arsenal still haven't added to the squad come the close of the window, THEN i'm going to panic hard.

We've already looked better in preseason so we know these players can do better but we definitely need to strengthen.

He needs to sign players this week.

Did he mention anything about transfers in his post-match interview?

no need to panic, we were playing the 6th-most dangerous team and salvaged a draw after things didnt go very well.

Yes, he was asked about a GK, smiled and replied 'no'.

For the sake of you gooners, I would hope the smile meant 'yes, Almunia is dire'.

You can't judge a whole season based on the first game but neither team deserved to win today. Arsenal are in trouble if they don't fix up quickly and Liverpool were poor first half. Liverpool managed to erase Arsenal's one man advantage by scoring and not bothering with attacking after that. Arsenal only looked decent when RvP came on to support Chammy and Walcott brought a lil extra pace.

Wilshere wasn't good, Diaby wasn't all that, Chammy and Arshavin were anonymous until later on in the game. Wenger needed to make changes much earlier on (like, from when Ngog scored his rather nice goal) because a lot of his players weren't on it today. Luckily we were only playing Liverpool :fishing: (kidding, wuv youuu kopites)

When Song and Fabregas come back, when we're playing RvP and Chammy together and when Arshavin decides he's really going to get stuck in, I hope we look better. Liverpool should have attacked because Arsenal are just that bad at the back and we have a new CB. Plus, why bring Torres on if you're not going to really try??

As for the own goal. Reina acted with zero class over the Fabregas thing after the WC, as bad as the Barca players. Arsenal's equaliser couldn't have come off a more appropriate player. Suck on it, bitch.
Agreed, Reina the winker gets what he deserved, absolute tosserr
He's a great GK and up until the equaliser was one of the differences between the teams but I still allowed myself a little giggle when it crossed the line.

I aint gon lie though, I'd have him in a second. At Arsenal, I mean.

MOVE !!...Im Head Boy !!
ok thoughts on this game

Im sick that we drew this game so late on with a mistake from the great man , he was gutted after it but arsenal deserved at least a point int he game

we played with great passion and desire and the rare time we had the ball we were decent with possesion. Arsenal bossed the ball without looking like scoringa nd our lads were so willing to throw themselves in the way of it at every chance , Agger looked ready to die at the end and even sktrel wa sin bits during the game  love the fight we showed

Kuyt and mascherano were our best players they wer eboth absolutely outstanding and never gave up. Carra and Agger were very good aswell. Well done Ngog keep it up, looked lively all game and capped it off with a great goal

Manuel really is awful though arsenal badly need him replaced.
Coles sending of was fair enough io it looked worse due to the new lads leg got stuck in the ground, I thought at first glance it was a straight red aswelll tbf I have no complaints there. Arsenals sending of was harsh imo

so to sum up it was a great game with pure passion and I rthink a draw was fair enough

al in all it was a great game and a draw is fair enough i think we will both take it

I doubt Wenger will get a GK. He's already said that Almunia's the number one so my guess is he'll keep relying on the strikers to try and pull something back like he's been doing for years.
