We were so much better when Cole got injured. Maxi actually played out fairly wide on the left and Gerrard actually looked interested when he was able to get on the ball and look up for a pass instead of playing with his back to goal. Wash'N'Gog did more in 10 minutes than Cole has done all season. I thought his hold-up play was much improved today. Took the long passes down on his chest well and looked to link things up - something that Torres completely failed to do all afternoon.

Torres was abysmal today, worst performance I think I have seen from him. But he's a class act and one single moment of magic was enough to win the game for us.
