Bale is quality, I am sure he'll love playing week in week out with his Welsh compatriot Ramsey when he does a Sol and joins us :champion:
If he carries on playing like this esp in CL games he will end up going to a top team. Think Spurs may struggle to hold on to him next summer if he carries on playing like this. Barca are meant to be looking for a top LB with Abidal getting on and Maxwell not playing that well.

He may be loyal to Spurs after Redknapp showed faith. Might depend if they get back into the CL.

I've seen Maicon at least 30 times since the start of last season, that is pure bollox tbh. He has pace, positional sense, nous for when to and when not to dive in. He is the ultimate fullback

Some players just have other players numbers, A. Cole always had a good game v Ronaldo and Essien always has a good game against Fabregas, iirc.
generally its the defensive players to get one over on the attacking players. honestly if Maicon was the "ultimate" fullback he would not have been destroyed twice in 2 weeks by the same player. he should have changed his whole game to stop that happening, especially an away game. evra and ashley cole are both far more complete full backs. Maicon has the advantage of not actually having any other decent right backs about at the moment.

i would take him at united, the way united play his defensive quality would not be tested too often, like at inter.

I don't watch much of the Italian league, but when it was on channel 5 every week a few seasons ago(probably getting onto 5 now) the league was so slow paced and teams had a lot of players behind the ball with slow build up, not very entertaining and possibly why channel 5 didn't bother with renewing the contract the season after

Hardly any British players move abroad.
Only 2 British based clubs would be willing to pay the money 'Arry will demand, so I guess that he will either join Chelsea or City.

Pure cliche.

Counter-attacking is the mainstay of Italian football.

Your opinion mate, I watched a game every week and it was woeful, truly terrible football and a lot of diving. hit it long and hope one of the big name attackers could do something magical to get a goal. did I mention the diving? people complained about Ronaldo at the time, but you watched these games and there were more in 1 game than he did in a season

I saw this inter side get ripped apart by an Athletico Madrid who came 9th in the Spanish league. Italian sides are renowned for their defensive play as is rafa for having a strong defensive line up

What does diving have to do with the style of play lol.

I'm basing my opinion on the 3-4 games I watch each weekend

it had a lot when majority of goals came from set pieces won from diving

I couldn't watch 1 game a week let alone 3, give me stoke vs bolton every day of the week

Aaron Lennon vs Evra? Is evra a myth too?
