How did Hamsik do?
Anonymous throughout. Didn't see him do anything apart from play a couple of simple passes. No runs of note and nothing special. Not really impressed at all.

Lavezzi was class though.

Watched on iPhone so not easy to be sure but despite the opposition it looked like ne f the best performances we had 2nd half
Yeah was a good performance, still loads of room for improvement though. A lot of sloppy passing.

3 points basically puts us through so we can concentrate on the league for a while
 what exactly have liverpool been concentrating on up til now?

Dreadful and boring performance from Liverpool. I fell asleep at about 69 minutes though

Well going by results and performances I would say nothing but we can hopefully leave ther likes of Meirles Reina and Lucas on the bench for the remaining games here

Thoughts on players :)
Reina-Solid as usual
Johnson-Pretty meh lost the ball alot and played bad passes
Carragher-Started well but then Cavani got the workings of him
SOTO-Solid
Koncesky-Poor, Would rather Insua
Raul-Pretty good, dodgy touch at time pushed forward though
Jonjo-Poor for me
Spearing-Not good enough for the team.
Poulsen-Get the fork out of the club
Jova-Best player in the first half
Ngog- Decent should have scored.

Gerrard-one man team
Lucas-Legend
Eccelston-played well for me i must say

Stuck up bastard
Thought Soto was quite poor tbh and Konchesky got up and down the wing well. His linkup play with Jova was decent.

Soto made a good few interceptions , covered for konchesky when he got up the wing.
Yeah he got up the wing but he also played some horrible balls and shocking passes.

same old song and dance. gerrard having to rescue a result and be relied on as usual. nice to see shevley and eccleston get there chance. also spearing reminds me a lot of a certain mr murphy.

Harsh on Mojo Jonjo. He did pretty well considering he was being played completely out of position. He gave pretty good width down that side just hasn't got the pace to get to passes laid down the wing for him and his teammates should know that. Still ran his socks off all game though and actually did well amongst three defenders before getting tackled for our first goal.

Nothing wrong with Konchesky's play either, he did well again, nothing special but solid.

Spearing was back to his usual substandard self unfortunately (or maybe fortunately depending on how you look at it). Mojo Jonjo needs to be given the role in the centre.

"Jova - best player in the first half" - I would say best player in the first 2 minutes. Other than that his passing and crossing made any decent runs from him completely pointless

Yeah i do know jonjo was out of position but it was so hard to watch sometimes.
I don't like the alien so he is shite no matter what he does.
The two minutes were the only time we had the ball in the first half so it was our first half to me.

Aye, Mojo Jonjo is difficult to look at but he's still a gifted player when given the chance to show it.

I think we are miles out in front for the "most unfortunate looking squad"
