not too bad a day lads if city dont win, we still are the same as yesterday basically

need to beat stoke on saturday though
blimey, thats uncharacteristally positive of you

thought wigan played well today, not the best from us but defended pretty well and still in the top half, which is a lot better than the 19th we were in not long ago.

Really poor display again. Going into another game with Maxi as the only wide player. Seeing Shelvey playing wide right is really starting to bug me now. He is not and never will be a wide player.

As soon as a team starts to put our players under pressure by pressing high up the pitch we completely fall to pieces. Nobody seems to be able to slow the pace down and just pass it about without panicking and either giving the ball away of hoofing it mindlessly upfield.

Still, we never do well away to Wigan so at least we got a point out of it

this may make me sound bitter but wigan looked that good because of us jimmy

our wide men were useless as was kuyt

3 attackers doing nothing all game, shevleyw as worse than meireles

imagine if we had nzogbia on the left, kuyt on the right with carlton cole up front with nando

thing is i reckon stoke will go pretty defensive against us, wigan actually went for it which i doubt stoke will do. Then it will be just down to our usually problem of being unable to break down a team

If we're given a bit of time on the ball I reckon we can do that. It's the constant pressure of teams that just makes us fall to pieces at the moment.

Yeah any manager worth his salt will press us. I think the players were feeling it from Sunday, so mnay sloppy passes.

yup, and i just don't see stoke being as adventurous as wigan were, they went for it as if they had nothing to lose, stoke will just play the counter and if we can just keep our cool at the back then we should do ok

Plus Wigan are stacked with pace up top and that's something we just cannot defend with the players we have. Stoke will be a different proposition and I feel much more confident about that game than I did about this.
