It's not about relying on them it's about usin them, and the odd time they went through the middle they did well. Banana played a great ball through for Downing.

It's more about the fact they weren't able to adjust. It's as if they had no Plan B. It was quite obvious from early in the 1st half that Young and Gabby weren't going to get a lot of joy in the air against Rio and Vidic, so why continue pumping it in?

The rare time Villa played it into the box along the ground Gabby hit the post and Albrighton scored.

they really didnt have the players for a plan B, bring on delfonso and play the same way? if heskey or carew were about then maybe something could have changed

So you want a team to change their style from crossing by bringing on Carew or Heskey

They could have played it on the ground, Villa have tons of pace upfront and a bit of pass and move would have torn Utd apart tbh.

We cross nowhere near as much as Villa.
thats a pity, because carrick hasnt got a clue which way forward is.
berbaflop is back, although to be fair fletch/carrick couldnt create anything if they were playing on there own.
worst performance of the season for utd, villa should have been atleast 4 up they were the better team.

Carrick and Fletcher were seriously a disgrace. Anderson is pretty crap but we do need him back ASAP cos atleast he tries to be positive with the ball and cna take people on.

forking embarrassment, end of.

If I could speak to Carrick, Fletcher, Park and Nani I would say, I already knew we wouldn't win the league several weeks ago, but don't take the forking pi55! No need to rub it in u c-unts!

Without Scholes we look useless and love him or hate him the reality is we do need Rooney back asap.

delfouneso is a completely different player to the rest of the strikers. he is technically better and probably the best finsiher but doesnt have any outstanding attributes like the others (gabby pace, carew and heskey - strength).

i dont see why we needed a plan B when plan A was working perfectly (you cant argue with the amount of chances we created) and judging by the fans reactions they were enjoying it too.

to be perfectly honest i couldnt give a toss what other teams fans think of how "ugly" our play is anyway. i enjoyed how we played it was a million miles better then how we used to play under o'neill, with the same players i might add.

You mention Park should never play for us again when he has been our best player for the past few weeks. Better than Nani. No doubt.
Have you watched us in the last few weeks?! Because that is a complete Sky Sports opinion. Park's been disgracefully bad, even by his disgracefully bad standards. A few goals changes absolutely nothing for a player who wouldn't look out of place in the championship.

well they would not have been struggling as much against rio and vidic. also could have played to them so they could hold the ball up and bring others into play. gabbys hold up play is not one of his strengths. flick ons for gabby to run onto carew is actually quite technique at his feet

and you talk about crossing asif its a bad point in football these days. their strongest players are the wingers, and crossing is what they do. seriously if you are looking for them to take on a couple of men and crack it in the back of the net, few can actually do that, especially against the united back line

at the end of the day they did not have the players to do anything other than what they did

I've no problem with the way Villa played, I just found it annoying that they kept trying the same thing over and over even though it was obvious from early on it wasn't going to work.

Macheda's goal was lovely ysterday. He has been poor of late so hopefully that wil give him the confidence to kick on and kind some form.
