What was Liverpool's away record like last season? I know it prob isn't as bad as this but it was bad.

Hmm, I thought it was a bit worse tbh. I think I heard one of the commentators today said it's been awful over the last 18 months.

they would say that, honest that away record this season with our normal home record would have gotten us like 6o or 63 points again, would have gotten us fighting for 4th

we have just gone 10 steps backwards with roy

also i know this may be an excuse a bit but you gotta remember we had like 2 away games when the other team scored in the 90th minute, we would have had like 2-3 more wins if we had a bit of luck like other teams imo

then again i suppose we got a lot of luck the season before with late goals

Without going over old ground, Alonso. You were going backwards from that point on.

yup it was certainly the start, bad buys with johnson and aa, also the owners keeping like 20m of the alonso money was another

we were meant to get jovetic and aquaman, deal was arranged for both (rafa said in his farewell interview when asked), at the end he was told he was told he could only spend like a certain amount of the alonso money and not all, so chose aa

woy, in his own words was brought in to stop the sinking ship, he has put another hole in it, a huge one that is as well, he had made things worse imo

I don't think things would have been dramatically different if Rafa had stayed. He had so much pressure from last season that the situation would have escalated as well. Roy was the wrong choice, but not sure who else was available then or now.

How do you know he wouldn't have done much better?

The language barrier isn't much of a concern, he can learn that in a couple of months. He is a fantastic manager. Villarreal were a small club going nowhere when he took them over and get got them to the CL semi finals and consistently in the top 3/4 in Spain. The Madrid job was fully deserved for his achievements at Villarreal and he lead them to their record points total in the league, their record amount of goals in the league and was undeservedly sacked. Now he is taking Malaga who were bottom when he took over and he will make sure they are comfortably safe come the end of the season.
