Ahh I can't wait for this one. Very disappointd that is on a bloody Monday night, whos decision was that?! Despite Utd's last twi results I think we are just starting to hit form now. We created alot of chances against Valencia on Tuesday night and in truth we should have won the game pretty comfortably, but it was just one of those nights. The West Ham game before that can be written off really give the team we had out that day, so I am confident we can get a result against Arsenal on Monday. Arsenal have struggled in recent weeks to get results with a number of way below par performances, including that last night against Partizan. RVP still looks way off sharpness and I woudl rather see him get the nod ahead of Chamakh because of that reason, he didn't look all that ready to me last night. Obviously Arsenal's defence is a major problem and I believe we will have a lot of chances, we just need Rooney &/or Berbatov to be in form to punish them for it. My main fear in the Arsenal team is Nasri, who is in fantastic form at the moment. If he plays through the middle like I suspect he will he will cause major headaches for Utd. He is the one Arsenal player that isn't really afraid to have shots, and the way Utd play he will get the time to run through the centre of the pitch and get into good areas to punish us. We need to take advantage of our very attacking right flank as Arshavin won't do much defensive work and we can get into good positions 2 v 1 against Clichy with Nani and Rafael. Apart from counter attacks that is where most of our joy will come from. I think Arsenal are perfectly set up for Utd to beat them. As we seen last year Utd allowed them to have the ball and punished them numerous times on the coutner attack, taking advantage of their high line. And i don't see that changing much this year and Wenger doesn't seem to learn from his past mistakes. Likely Line-ups VDS Rafael Ferdinand Vidic Evra Nani Fletcher Carrick Anderson Park Rooney Chamakh Arshavin Nasri Walcott Song Denilson Clichy Koscienly Squillaci Sagna Fabianski It will be hard to leave out Berbatov with the way he is playing at the moment, but Fergie likes to play 451 against Arsenal and Rooney is more suited to hurt them on the counter attack than he is. Scholes looks set to miss out with injury so that will mean Carrick keeps his place after his midweek mistake. He normally does alrite against Arsenal because they don't press him so I don't have too much of a worry about him in this game. Anderson and Flethcer will be important to win the ball back deep in our own half to launch count attacks. Evra has struggled against pace in the past, so for that reason I can see Walcott staring on the right side, his goal mid week will help his cause too. The rest of the team more or less picks itself. Prediction: 3-1 |

Both teams mirror each other, great going forward but dodgy at the back. I just hope we outscore them cos I can't see either keeping a clean sheet. If Utd want the title they should be winning this game imo, Arsenal will be happy with a draw. I would rather Giggs play instead of Park but bcos he's prefered in the hole behind the striker these days that would mean Nani on the left with Fletcher on the right, but I'd be happy with that, nobody knows arsenal better than Giggs in that team. ---------------------VDS Rafael---- Ferdinand---- Vidic---- Evra Fletcher----Carrick----Anderson----Nani ---------------------Giggs -------------------Rooney |

A draw would be a great result, OT is always a tough place to go to. Hope Shava can spread some of his magic. Things I expect to happen: At least one pathetic dive from Rooney. United fans blaming Arshavin for England's failure to land the WC. Abuse and more sick songs aimed at Wenger. Wilshere bossing Anderson. A bitchfest of the highest order on TFN after the game. |

Finally, you admit we have no favoritism ![]() Honestly tho, he may get a bit anal at times but he's generally pretty good and if it is a bad decision it could go either way. Should be a cracking match tho, I still look forward to this match for (palm sweating) entertainment more than any other
