how the refs decision was justified to give that penalty is mystic. would never have been given to us even at emirates ffs
We missed it, but still won. So don't throw that one aswell.

Arsenal were ok at the back, but I think that's down to us being so inept attacking today more than anything.
yeh agreed, we should have done better when we had the ball.
I don't really think we had a clear cut chance minus the Anderson miss and penalty for 3 points.

Cesc, did you watch the game? Did VDS even have to move?? Wenger is way overrating Chammy as a lone striker, imo. Didn't work at all. Arshavin was poor anyway, Nasri out wide didn't have the influence, Wilshere didn't do anything for me, our midfield was constantly giving the ball away.
I think he did, but he has these goggles, right, and they make him see a completely different reality
Yeah, think he's upset

The general standard of football on show was pretty bad tbh but if you do not create chances, do not test the defence or the keeper and don't get in the box til there's about 5/10 minutes left you can't complain :(
true enough. It wasn't a very good game. uniteds passing was a bit off but my oh my I was shocked with how bad arsenals passing game was. As a neutral watcher here (well I would have preferred a draw) it wasn't the best of watches
Yeah, we didn't make it difficult for them at all and they didn't make it that tough for us. Strange. So far this season I can honestly say that not one of Arsenal, Chelsea or Man United looks ready to win the league. The Champs will be the best of a bad bunch for sure. I thought United would have done more being the home team and I thought Arsenal would have done more because we need to win one of these games. Maybe it's just Monday night football

Clichy was very good tonight Gmen and Stacie
are you kidding me paddy? the amount of times he failed to clear the lines was incredible. He did a decent job vs nani but so many times he won a ball only to lose it straight away a couple of times in really dangerous positions

Well I think he defended against Nani very well.

Nah Clichy makes these little mistakes, he'll do something good, then do something awful and his little errors are always very costly. He's a worry.

I think you're right monty, United were poor and still won, Arsenal needed to do better. But United's performance against us tonight says a lot about you lot too.

Nani also had a chance and he forked it up, won the ball back, then forked it up again. Our passing in the final third was average and made an easy night for their defence, only Nani kept Clichy busy.

Fair play to Cesc, he's come on after the loss and given a worse performance than his team...which is a remarkable achievement.
