the only thing I want to say about this match is that Rooneys peno was one of the funniest i've seen in ages, what the hell was going on with that run up

I really am dying to see it the next time Rooney takes a peno and Sky show that graphic of where he placed his last few. They'll probably run out of screen. I think the peno decision was very harsh but i've seen them given plenty of times and waved away just as much. Glad it didn't actually effect the result though. Fletcher probably should have been booked for barging into the ref in the 1st half but other than that i thought it was fair game. Really don't see where Cesc is coming from but less said about that the better. Really been impressed with how Ando has been playing lately. |

Pretty poor game in all honesty. Don't thin anyone can begrudge a United victory, not that we played well at all. Carrick seriously needs to go, fletcher too - I don't see what he offers our team anymore. Anderson still lacks composure on the ball but his overall play is improving and if we buy a good passing midfielder he'd be great alongside him. Park - shite as standard in attack, but again managed to get a goal. Nani was very frustrating tonight but when he had the ball Arsenal were worried and there was a buzz around the stadium and he keeps showing us that he is a real match winner (not tonight granted, but still ) Rooney wasn't great again tonight but can't blame that on him as the ball just kept being lumped forward to him and he got no support from the midfield. Rafael was superb I thought - he's made that position his own and was our best performer tonight. It seemed as though Wenger's pre match talk was "Forget the ball, just kick anyone in red." Any time we went to attack in the first half we were just being fouled, and Chamakh's tackle on Nani was disgraceful. Also, Cesc is doing all this crying about how unjust the penalty was blah blah blah, yet there's no mention anywhere of the blatant handball Chamakh's got away with in the first half that was as obvious as they come!Wish Fletcher would shut the fork up though, it's kinda embarrassing. |
