none so far as I know, doesn't have anything to do with the point at hand though does it, rafa was synonemous with resting Torres yet he was still getting injured. How exactly is he going to find form if we don't give him as much game time as we can. Stick him on for an hour and bring him off after, if he really can't manage to do just over a game and half a week then get rid of him in january. Its a complete fallacy quite frankly that he can't play the games, his injuries have come at all sorts of times, after being rested, going on international duty, playing continuos games. It really doesn't matter, he will pick up injuries regardless of how you treat him so you might as well try and get the most out of him whilst he is fit edit : there was a strain back in october as I recall, was he rested prior or did he play continuously prior? Does it really matter if Torres gets injured or not? With or without him in the team we're still going to play the same stone age football to the same level of effectiveness. |

playing 90 minutes per week is good enough to find form, after all the majority of time in spain and italy they play 90 mins per week except for europe Like I said, since this is the LAST europa game for a while, there really is no point playing him and taking a risk for 1 game! this 1 game wont make suddenly find his feat I also like to add this is just not about torres, pacheco is looking to leave unless he gets games, we also need to play babel as much as possible to raise his price, this works well for everyone plus nando needs to be dropped as well |

well it aint workd so far so we might as well give him the chance, and 1 game could make a difference very easily, much like it always used to for Owen. He was a nightmare for goal droughts, then he'd back a decent couple and be on fire. IF Torres could get a nice couple of goals tonight it could spur him on to perform much better come the weekend. Pacheco just signed a new contract, doesnt really sound like he's looking to leave by doing that does it? Contracts might not mean much but we are talking a matter of days here! As for babel, sod him quite frankly, we aint gonna raise his price enough by sticking him in a few games here and there. Drop Torres? yeah great idea, just when its obvious his confidence is low and he needs some morale boosting we'll drop him, thats bound to do the trick....... |

it will not easily make a difference, the problem is we will struggle regardless if nando ison form or not away from home he got 2 goals against chelsea remember risking him getting injured is not worth it in any world, we cant rely on ngog and babel over the tough x mas period, its a busy time as well so we need to make sure nando is fit |

the point being we can't rely on torres either, sure he got those goals against chelsea but then right back to being out of sorts again, game time is the only way to get him back up and running, otherwise he'll be as much use over xmas as Ali Dia! Anyways, if he can't play more than 90 minutes a week as you suggest then he's already useless over the christmas period, by your reckoning we can't afford to risk playing him in half the games in that time frame...... |

I'm with Jimmy Torres needs to play as much games as possible and a game like this may give him a couple of goals and get his confidence back. I don't agree with this whole resting thing its complete balls if your fit u should play |

so Torres shouldn't play more than 120 minutes a week, so over crimbo he can play against Blackpool and Bolton but we'll get half hour at most out of him for Wolves and Blackburn....... |

if he bags goals tonight, finds form and helps us to win some of the upcoming prem games then it will have been completely worthwhile. I keep saying it, Torres could get injured at any time, rested or not he will likely pick something up. He could go out and pick up a knock tonight or he could rest and pick it up at the weekend, it won't matter one bit if he's rested. He needs match fitness and game time more than anything right now, this is the type of game thats ideal to give him that. If you want to keep wrapping him in cotton and never letting him get back into form then fine, I for one would much rather he found it as soon as possible and helped us to turn this season around somewhat |

I wouldnt mind seeing him play but I would like to see Pacheco in behind , Babel on the right and Cole on the left. Babel is getting more game time and is looking a little better. I would like to see how he gets on tonight |
