I think you may be missing the point as surely you would be expecting a good performance against Sunderland? Thats what im saying
Surely that's arrogance right there? Who else should we 'expect' to play well against? Everyone except maybe 5 teams?
A Sunderland team minus 6 players at home. I would expect a good performance against that is not complete arrogance but a little common sense.

Except Arsenal as stated above.

Dismissing City so flippantly could be described as arrogant. Describing the perfromance yersterday as 'awesome' is OTT. Calling me bitter is sad.

I haven't read the Arsenal thread, but my general veiw of the performance that it was poor but workmanlike. Before that was Blackburn, fair enough a hammering, Wigan can't remember being a stand out and Villa was coming back from 2-0 down. I would guess from all that thet the performances haven't been great. Sunderland was good, but it should have been as well. No one on here has stated about who you exactly played which was a weakened Sunderland at home. I would expect a 2-0 would be the minimum from this game?

I'm so sorry for bringing my team into the equation, it wont happen again on a Man Utd matchday thread.
What does City have to do with our performance against Sunderland? You're having a mare mate.

And you didn't bring up your team, I did ffs and pointed out that Villa had a weakened team, but it took nothing away from your performance. Third time I'm mentioning it and still no valid response. Were your fans at Villa Park arrogant yesterday when you went 2-0 up? Why should United fans be classed as arrogant when your fans do exactly the same thing under similar circumstances. The only difference was that they were doing it in the stands and we were doing it on a forum. It was a matchday thread ffs, get a grip mate.

You'd also expect a good performance at home against a newly promoted West Brom? Bolton? Fulham? We've had very few good performances this year, even when we're 'expected' to blow teams out of the water, so when one comes along excuse us for being happy with it.

And if a united fan posted that we should be expecting to beat such and such you'd come ouch calling us arrogant, not agreeing with us and saying yea you're right.

We were away, and down to ten men after 30 mins. That would even things up a little I think.

Not sure how many of those 3 you mention have been at home. Playing them away is a completely different kettle of fish.

I don't think coming out and stating that you expect to beat a severly weakened Sunderland team as arrogant.

I repeat - what does that have to do with our performance against Sunderland? Yoink! :sigh:

Yes it does, but even then they were a pretty poor outfit until Petrov came on. Either way I'm not arguing that it wasn't a good performance by Spurs, just simply pointing out your double standards re your teams fans and our fans.

I suggest Yidarmy and Cesc11 refrain from coming on United matchday threads in case we post something that on the off chance upsets them.

The City effect was in reference to the arrogance label, which was in this thread a comment posted by you and is valid.

No one called our performance 'awesome', we were pleased with getting a good result in a tough situation. I dont think it is the same scenario for you guys against Sunderland.

Far from upset, just pointing a few things out which have the terrible thing of not agreeing with you.
