Birmingham could welcome back Alexander Hleb, who is back in training after a month out with a hamstring injury. Defender Liam Ridgewell is available after missing City's last match through illness.

Nani is expected to return from a hip problem but Park has departed to play for South Korea in the Asian Cup. Giggs having played 60 mins against Sunderland should start again imo as he was instrumental in that first half along with Anderson. Fletcher should hopefully be fit and this means we won't be playing with 10 men with Carrick on the pitch. OShea is still suffering from a calf injury so Rafael will probably start again at RB.

Birmingham was a tricky away fixture for United last season, having only managed a draw. However, if United can continue the fantastic fantabulous superdooper performance they put in against Sunderland  hopefully they can come away with 3 point for the bigger test they face on Saturday.

Possible Team:

---------------------------------VDS---------------------------------
Rafael------------Rio--------------------Vidic------------------Evra
Nani----------------Anderson---------Fletcher-------------Giggs
--------------------Rooney--------------Berba---------------------

I actually like that midfield as I think there's a lot of variation in position for a lot of the players there which should help our attack.

Prediction 0-2

Giggs was very good at the weekend, hopefully he can continue that tomorrow. Even though Park is a bit crap, Giggs is the only other recognised winger we ha and we need him to perform.

I think that will be that team and I think we will beat them abd beat them well. 3-0 Utd.

That's not a bad midfield considering Giggs can play in the hole and Rooney can go left. Fletcher too can go out right with Nani drifting in. Along with Berba and Anderson, I'm hoping for a decent display with a lot of movement with those players.

that looks a bit lightweight to me for an away game at st.andrews
i think fergie would prefer to start with a 5-man-midfield tonight but he dare not drop berba or rooney :hugs:
so your team prediction could be correct but its not one i would go for personally
if fletcher is back he might play:
.............................van der sar.......................
rafael.............rio.............vidic.................evra
fletcher................carrick..................anderson
nani.......................berba.....................rooney
Manchester = 50% United, 31% City, 19% the rest. Manchester is RED. Always has been.

Don't think I've seen a United game since they beat us but St. Andrews is a very tough place to go.

It is indeed Buttons, they're hovering above the relegation places and we're on some awesome amazing world class best team in the world form though so I can see us getting a resul, and hopefully another god like performance.

Carrick is a disaster mate, have you watched him recently? His confidence is gone, he's afraid to make tackles and the oppo play around him at will. You could actually play the formation you're saying with the team I've said. That's why I think that midfield is a good one...

Yeah Birms are solid at home but they don't even win there that often. I don't think they've won away all season so it's no surprise to see them so far down the table.
