Tadpole's Excrement

I suppose instead of creating a new thread for news of the national team I may as well do as I've done with Stoke City and create a nice little home for all the news and views with regards the Socceroos. |

Easy win with what amounted to a second string side yesterday in Adelaide against the Kiwis. 3-0 a double from Josh Kennedy and a third from James Troisi beat New Zealand last night. |

And now for Serbia tomorrow in Melbourne. That will be much more difficult a task to win that. |

0-0 draw with Serbia tonite. Federici put in a good claim to be Mark Schwarzer's replacement in the future with a great performance in goals. It's been funny reading some comments on the main Aussie football website about the game with all these people bitching about how we played tonite. Really considering where we were at less than 10 years ago I think 0-0 in a friendly against a strong football nation is a result to be looked at as a positive, lessons learned from it but a positive result nonetheless. |

We were okay. Considering that there were a lot of players out there that aren't what you'd call first choice for the international team then it wasn't overall a bad performance. It won't go down as a classic but as Skywarp always says whenever Australia gets results like this "at least we didn't lose"

He'd make a very dull football manager I think. His entire philosophy on football is to avoid losing before you try to win, anyone would think he was Italian
