I don't think he'll be going. Arsenal don't have to sell him, but I would be mad as hell if we sold him to a main rival like that. He'd be better at United than he is for us. Him leaving wouldn't be a disaster, but going to United wouldn't be good. It's all been a bit convenient, I think Nasri's holding out for more money at Arsenal to be honest, and him being questioned about Man United after Evra was running his mouth just seems like papers creating a link themselves. There's been no indication that he's desperate to move. Would be better imo to keep him for one more year, cos we're crap at negotiations and Man United would get him very cheaply. |

Well, if he is refusing to sign a new contract then you do have to sell him. Otherwise lose him for free next season. |

Rather that, to be honest. If we keep him, there's no guarantee that a) he will still leave next summer and b) he'd go to Man United. A free Nasri could probably pick and choose from a wide range of clubs next summer and Man United can't afford to hang around for another year on the offchance that Nasri will choose to leave Arsenal and go to them, they need to work on their midfield now. It's not an ideal situation, keeping a player who wants to leave but Nasri is in negotiations with Arsenal, which means he's not that desperate to leave. His only issue is one of wages or the club's ambitions. He wasn't even chatting United before Evra started and a French magazine ran with it. I think he's just using it for more money. He's in a position where he could have already told Arsene to stick it. If he chooses to go to United once he's no longer an Arsenal player, that's fine - we can't do anything about that. But selling him directly to them would be stooopid - we don't need the money that desperately, let him sit for a year and see if things have changed by next summer at the top clubs. |

He'll sign a new contract i think. I'd be disgusted if he left as he is my fav player and our second best player in general behind cesc. If United got him i'd shoot myself and they would walk the legue next year |

Nasri's great and he'd shine at United. I think he's a bit fresh, making huge demands when he hasn't been hot for a full season for us yet

"Samir Nasri and Arsenal FC regret to announce that they failed to agree contract terms due to irreconcilable differences. My client would like to thank Arsenal fans for their support and hopes they understand that his motivations are not financially motivated. Samir has not yet made a decision regarding where he will play in future but he hopes that it will enable him to further his progress. to allow him to compete at the highest level befitting his talent. Thank you all. Arsenal FC have informed me that they will make their own statement early tomorrow morning. Thank you AM." - Nasri's agent |
