Keep dreaming about Mata and Hazard, both would cost over 50 million together

Not a chance Wenger would pay that, plus your getting Gervinho

Arsene Wenger is confident Samir Nasri will STAY at Arsenal.

The Arsenal boss will hold talks with Nasri and his representatives this week in a bid to persuade the French international to sign a new deal.

Nasri has one year left on his contract and talks have so far stalled.

Manchester United are keen on Nasri but Wenger believes he can convince the £15million signing from Marseille that his future lies at the Emirates.

But Wenger has given up hope of keeping Cesc Fabregas out of the clutches of Barcelona this summer.

He has acknowledged the one club he cannot compete with for his 24-year-old captain are the Champions League winners and, if they offer about £40million then Fabregas will go.

Other departures could be Gael Clichy to Liverpool, Nicklas Bendtner and Brazilian midfielder Denilson.

The latter could be used as a makeweight to secure either Willian da Silva or Douglas Costa from Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk.

Both impressed when Shakhtar beat the Gunners 2-1 in Donetsk in a Champions League group match.

Wenger also wants to bring in Christopher Samba from Blackburn for

£10m to add muscle and power to his central defence and is also set to make a

£15m bid for Aston Villa’s Stewart Downing.

The England winger has made no secret of his ambition to play in the Champions League, which is unlikely to be realised if he stays at Villa Park.

But Abou Diaby is likely to miss the start of the season. The France midfielder will undergo surgery next week to cure a persistent ankle problem that bothered him in the second half of last season.

I was happy for Cesc to go if Nasri kept up his form from early last season. He did not he can go and Cesc you better forking stay  Unless we get Thiago :champion:

Not a quote in sight <_<

I would be worried about Nasri too, if Fabregas stays. I actually think he can keep up form for a season but he hasn't shown that yet, he was fading in and out after January. If Fabregas leaves, I think Nasri will do better.

Wow big news. Arsenal have agreed to sell Nasri if we get Howard Webb in the deal.

POW.

I know, crap joke. I personally hate them but some might enjoy it.

Who says we are getting Gervinho? It's just talk, that is unless you actually know something we mere mortals don't? Or has he signed already?

We can afford Matta & Hazzard without even spending extra cash. £25M + players for Cesc or a straight £40M + £10 million for Bender. Of course we can raise more selling a few others.

Think he was getting at the fact that Wenger rarely spends big, let alone 50million in 1 go

If Liverpool continue to buy the way they are then Arsenal will be safe for another year or two yet.

 ooooooooooh monty! I can actually see a bit of sense in what Kenny is trying to do, get a strong English core to the Liverpool team with a bit of foreign flair.

Wenger is not suddenly going to spend £50m but he definitely seems more aware that he needs to make changes. Usmanov is putting more pressure on with his comments too.
