The Mirror are reporting that Villas-Boas is going to leave him out of the team for the start of the season in favour of Drogba. So will Torres ever get back to his best, or is he 'finished' ?

Neither. Not going to get back to his very best but he is far from "finished". Will still be a very very good player for 3 or 4 years. Should be getting in excess of 15 goals in that Chelsea team no worries.

Depends who they play. If Yossi plays or they sign a creative player then he'll be fine, if they don't N'gog will outscore him.

Ill go for 11-15. Hardly finished but I think he needs a manager to show trust and faith in him to get the best out of him.

I think he'll chip in with a few important goals but I really hope he doesn't. ;)

 Never thought i'd hear Torres ability being questioned so soon after his move.

Torres is still a top striker and his record at Atletico & Liverpool prove it.
He had a problem living up to the 50m price tag last season but he isn't the first and wont be the last to do that tbf. He also struggled with the hatred of the Pool supporters who once idolised him, he wont have experienced that before.

This season he will be more settled and I think torres will get somewhere near 20 goals.
Too good a player not to come good imo.
Will be keeping Cech in my pocket for the next 3 months. Thanks Pedro :thumb:

He has been questioned by quite a few for 2 years.

I think he'll score 15-20 but in general will be very average.

Not so sure to be honest! I think the pressure he is under and the focus around him is affecting him big time and I cant see him being anywhere near as good as he has previously been! I wouldn't be surprised to see him back on his way to Spain before long! I hope im wrong to be fair as I like to see good players playing well, but even when he scored last week in the friendly he played absolutely terrible! it will be interesting to see what happens!

Ouch! Someone is feeling bitchy, then again when you are desperate to hang on to any glimmer of hope that £50m hasn't been wasted and someone just tells you straight what you've said is nonsense it can't be nice. Especially when you know if you're being honest you agree 100%. You know pre-season means fork all.

Has he been given stick for pre-season or how he has played during COMPETITIVE FOOTBALL. You've just told us nothing basically with your post other than he is scoring when it means fork all. Gervinho has been world class for us during pre-season you must right now take back everythingy you said about him being average Cech.
