That comparison would be lovely if John O'Shea did his job as well as Vidic. Robin van Persie at CF has always been class and is doing his job as well as Torres ever has. Injuries have held him up but when at CF and fit he has been pure class. You can slag the SS van Persie off and i'll join if you want becuase he was overrated as a SS but at CF he is pure class and he is backing up everything i've said with his current form.

That's where you're wrong broski. Torres has always been the greater striker. He does everything a true striker does. Van Pussy has started doing this for the last year or so, he can't be compared to Torres until he does this for many more years...which he wont. Why you actin like you got something to prove?

broski..... lolz. van Persie has spent most of his years not playing as advanced as he is now so what on earth do you expect from him? Yeah go score 30 goals playing a deep role, be serious. Since he has become the spearhead of the Arsenal attack he has been class. You say he has only been doing it for a year but he played this well in 09/10 before he got injured. Injuries have held him back but now its been 12 of consistant months of pure class from him. Consistancy is the only thing he had to prove and he has now done it and is now as good as Torres ever was. You quoted my post so why wouldn't I reply, broksi?

A Torres debate turns into a Goonie crusade........... again.

Hardly in a discussion with himself though, is he...

A part of me feels sorry for Torres. He's playing like there's something hanging over him. He was starting to look pretty good before his suspension but for your most expensive signing to not start a big game is concerning. I wonder if AVB excluded Torres and Meireles because they were Liverpool players :S

I was laughed at for something which i've now been proved right in thinking. I didn't want a response to my comment I just felt like saying it becuase of how people reacted at the time :)

I highly doubt he did especially considering it was the home game. If it was the away fixture it would be unlikely but possible but at home I just really can't see it.

Torres record
Atletico Madrid, 214 apps 82 goals ratio 2.61 games per goal.
L'pool, 102 apps 65 goals ratio 1.57 games per goal.
Chelsea, 23 apps 3 goals ratio 7.67 games per goal.
Spain, 91 apps 27 goals ratio 3.37 goals per game.
Career record 430 apps 177 goals ratio 2.53 games per goal

RVP record
Feyenoord, 59 apps 15 goals ratio 3.93 games per goal
Arsenal, 168 games 79 goals ratio 2.13 games per goal
Holland, 62 games 25 goals ratio 2.48 games per goal
Career record 289 apps 119 goals ratio 2.43 games per goal

Apart from a purple period at L'pool Torres has a fairly average record, RVP has a slightly better record but when you consider his injury record its quite remarkable.

I think his plan all along was to bring them on together to try and rattle us.

I just feel he needs a complete break away from English football, fans, media pressure etc to stand a real chance of getting back to what he was
