in all honesty how many of you thought silva would be this good after not being so good last season? i doubt there is many.
anyone who watched la liga would know how good he was, much like aguero. theres been a few players to come over from la liga that have flopped more than likely. so that argument kind of evens itself out tbh there will always been hits and flops from other leagues

I was always a big fan of Mata when he was in La Liga. I think he'll be a success for Chelsea and provide just what they needed if they use him correctly. For Chelsea to use him correctly it will signal the end of Lampard. Mata works well as the number 10, this is where Unai Emery always got the best out of him, in this kind of formation:
----Banega-----Tino Costa Joaquin-----Mata-----Pablo Hernandez -----Soldado----
To replicate that Vilas-Boas will have to go, ----Mikel/Ramires-----Merieles Sturridge----Mata----Malouda-- --------Torres--------
That will get the best out of all those players in my opinion. Chelsea would be inventive and control games in a progressive manner. Mata would be the KEY to that! Chelsea fans will have to be a little patient with Mata as he can drift out of games slightly but when he gets the ball he's always a likely player to unlock a defense. He's a regular in the Spain squad and that's a testament to his quality.
Another player you might of heard about is Oriol Romeu, we bought him off Barca in the summer Hes only played two games for us so far, but hes been very impressive, typical Barca midfielder IMO very comfortable with the ball but also likes to get stuck in and tackle, Mikel will be watching his back from now on, cos i can see Romeu replacing him soon enough in DM whats happened to essien?
