But Redknapp brought them from the bottom of the table to ECL. That is punching above Spuds weight, no matter how you look at it. Ramos was treading water from day one. Interesting to see Jol's stats though |

We were not constantly a top 4 team before Wenger and we were not expectedto keep winning things before Wenger so the fans who are really disrespectful towards him are nothing more than gloryhunting winkers. Fair enough if you want him out but you need to forking learn what it was like before him and what he has done for us becuase its down to him your gloryhunting arse supports this club. If you want him out then fine but show some forking respect. |

Just because they wernt a top 4 club pre Wenger doesnt mean the expectations cant grow. Utd wernt a top 4 club b4 Fergie but doesnt mean Utd would settle for anything other than challenging for the title. |

Arsenal were still a top club before Wenger though, either 2nd or 3rd most successful club in England domestically at the time behind Liverpool and possibly United. The club was a lot more inconsistent before him but they still finished in 3rd a season earlier and had won two league titles and a handful of cups in the decade before him. Wenger was clearly responsible for propelling them from a major team at the time to part of the 'top 2' on a regular basis but it's not like he dragged them up from nowhere. Arsenal fans would have been perfectly entitled to see themselves as one of the biggest clubs in the country and to be in the running for trophies and european places. They shouldn't be questioning his work for Arsenal in the past but there is a fine line between respecting someone for past achievements and letting them rest on their laurels. |

Goonie, stop bein such a drama queen. Everybody knows what Wenger's done for the club and Wenger is shown a GREAT DEAL of respect for it, respect that will see him decide when he leaves when others wouldn't be gifted that opportunity. I wonder who at Arsenal feels so strongly for the fans though, whose money Arsenal are happily taking every season with comparatively small re-investments. No fans have the right to win trophies but if they're supporting the club financially, they have every right to see that money go back into the team. I wonder who sits and goes "well, maybe we should respect the fans and instead of rubbing our profits in their faces, actually do something with them." Right now, not the right people. Never seen Arsenal lift a trophy. That doesn't bother me, they had Henry and intriguing football. But year after year everyone's put their trust in Wenger and this summer he trampled all over that and despite his chatter about what we needed, come August none of it had happened. If Wenger fixes his mess (cos however you look at it, it is his) nobody will want him to leave cos he still has that something. But it feels to me like the fans have been dismissed by people at Arsenal as not being important while those people work to their own individual philosophies. |

The majority of this has agreed with me. Infact none of it goes against what i've said I have said its fine for them to want him to go but still you have no right to disrespect someone who has done what he has for us. We were a big club then but we are now one of the biggest in Europe and that is down to him.

Another one to add to your theory... Bolton have lost 10 of their last 11 EPL games. |
