Also on the stoke game the Carragher decision was 50/50, what annoyed me personally was it yet again highlighted the inconsistancy of refs
Surely then you must understand that it it is 50/50 then half will be given & half not! By that very nature it will be inconsistant

It may come as no surprise to you that the teams that benefitted most from dodgy refereeing last season were the two Manchester clubs, and Chelsea. 3 teams that are known to surround the referee and get right up in their faces.
absolute bollocks

City never surround the ref, i have said on quite a few occasions that i wish they would complain about a few decisions.

liverpool were always getting dodgy decisions when they were big, now they are not they dont

get over it

just sour grapes from a bad loser

Liverpool Manager Kenny Dalglish yesterday met with Mike Riley, General Manager of Professional Game Match Officials Ltd, at the Club's Melwood training ground.

Following the meeting, the Reds boss said: "It was good to see Mike and we had an extremely informative and amicable discussion, which has given us all a better understanding of how things operate.

"It's our job to best represent the Club and protect its interests, but we have the utmost respect for the job referees do and have never wanted or asked for any form of preferential treatment, simply a level playing field for everyone.

"We will continue to conduct ourselves in a dignified and respectful manner at all times.

"From our perspective it was certainly worthwhile sitting down together and maybe it's something that should happen more often."

Does this mean that he doesn't believe there is one at the minute? Surely that's calling referee's integrity into question or something..

Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has complained to referees chief Mike Riley about the performance of the officials during his side's 3-1 loss at Manchester United on Sunday.

Replays showed United's first two goals were both scored by players who had been in offside positions.

Villas-Boas said: "I'm very unhappy with a poor display from the referees that had a decisive role in the result.

The former Porto manager, 33, added: "I already went further ahead with the situation by speaking to the correct people.

"We all feel very, very down when the referee [Phil Dowd] had such an impact on the result."

Sunday's loss at Old Trafford was Villas-Boas's first defeat as Chelsea boss. It is also the first time a team under his management have been beaten in a league match for 17 months, continued over from his Porto days.

The Blues fell behind in the eighth minute when Chris Smalling headed home, before Nani scored a second from long range before half-time.

Wayne Rooney added a third for the home side in the final minute before the break.

Fernando Torres scored what would prove to be a consolation goal - only his second in 24 appearances since joining from Liverpool - but it could have been different had the Spanish striker converted in front of an open goal instead of firing wide with seven minutes to go.

I'm very, very happy with how the team responded. Everybody is strong and with the correct frame of mind
Andre Villas-Boas
Villas-Boas refused to comment on his £50m striker's state of mind, saying: "It's not a question about an individual player.

"I'm very, very happy with how the team responded. Everybody is strong and has the correct frame of mind."

However, the Chelsea boss all but confirmed Torres would have to wait for the chance to redeem himself this week, revealing he planned to field a number of young players for tomorrow night's Carling Cup third-round tie with Fulham.

He added: "It gives us a very good idea of where we stand regarding the young players that we are trying to bring through."

But utd dont get decisions their way at all :ph43r:
