Tevez: "I felt that it wasn't suitable that I go on because my head wasn't in the right place."

Tevez "no, no, its just that I didn't want to go in becasue I thought I was unwell I wasn't emotionally well and I thought it better not to"

Its a BBC reporter translating him from a conference in London...

Joorabchian: a lot of confusion on bench... We didn't really see what happened on bench. TV shows it in a different light.

Joorabchian: You can't ever criticise him [Tevez] for wanting to play. Has played in situations where docs have told him not to play.

Joorabchian: Carlos, throughout his career, fights to play.

Tevez gave a post-match television interview in which he said: "I did not feel right to play, so I did not."

But Joorabchian claimed the translation of the questions put to Tevez were not accurate.

honestly, that guy is a right fork face cunty goblin

I actually did that for a job i hated years back. One manager was being a dick and argued with me about something when i was in the right, so i told them i was taking the rest of the week off due to stress. Got sick pay for all of it, that'll teach the bastards

i think tevez/his guardian agent have realised they have forked up here and are backtracking desperately. His agent has realised that, at best, he'll be offloaded for a token transfer fee somewhere (minimising his cut) or he'll just be sacked somehow. I really hope the pair of them them get what they deserve.

Following a tumultuous few months at Manchester City, Carlos Tevez may be preparing to make a sensational return to former club and bitter rivals Manchester United according to agent Peppino Tirri, after falling out with current boss Roberto Mancini and finding his position at Eastlands untenable.

Tevez recently refused to enter the pitch as a substitute when called upon by Mancini in a recent Champions League fixture against Bayern Munich, a move almost universally condemned by the world of football.

Despite denying the accusations, Tevez’s spell at City looks certain to be drawing to its conclusion, with Mancini insisting the Argentinean would never play for the club again and his agent confirming he will transfer clubs in January.

Italian agent Peppino Tirri has now stunningly hinted that Tevez could be ready to make a sensational return to Manchester United – a club he scored 19 goals for but ultimately left on unsavoury terms with in 2009 – with limited offers coming in for the unsettled forward at present.

"I really think at this point Tevez will be sold during the next market window,” Tirri revealed.

"Where will he end up? I think the hypothesis is not currently viable at Inter: Inter do not need him, they have already forwards like Forlan, Milito, Pazzini, Zarate and Castaignos.

"The same is true when it comes to Real Madrid. More plausible is the road to Juventus which would certainly be more convenient.

"Do not discard the possibility that he could still stay in England and maybe return to United."

Manchester United currently have a number of viable attacking options in Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez, Danny Welbeck, Michael Owen and Dimitar Berbatov. However, reports are suggesting that Berbatov is heading towards the Old Trafford exit, whilst Ferguson still remains unsure about his first choice partner for Rooney from his remaining options.

It is believed Tevez may now be available on the cheap, although questions must be asked about whether Mancini would be willing to sell his forward back to a team that are both local and Premier League rivals. However, with Tevez becoming an increasingly unsettling influence at Eastlands, Mancini's desperation to offload the South American could pave the way to a sensational switch back to his old club.

Say what you like about Michael Owen, but after the Tevez antics at City, I would take Owen over Tevez 100%, and I don't care if people disagree. The guy took a wage cut to join us, sits on the bench, never complains, passes on his experience to the younger kids and has never once suggested he'd leave if he didn't get first team football. We have a young team that will not be short of goals (Rooney, Hernandez, Welbeck, Young, Nani) and a great team spirit. No idea why we would want to disrupt that, not that I think Fergie would even consider it.

Russia's big spenders Anzhi Makhachkala are reportedly trying to convince Manchester City's disgruntled striker Carlos Tevez to join recent signing Samuel Eto'o at the free-spending Caucasus side.

The Tvoi Den daily said Anzhi felt Tevez was there for the taking after his dramatic spat with City manager manager Roberto Mancini resulted in a two-week suspension for the Argentine star.

"The conditions for signing Tevez are very good," a source on the daily told the newspaper.

The Caspian Sea side have become one of the sport's most brazen poachers of pricey talent since being acquired by the Russian oil and metals magnate Suleiman Kerimov this year.

The reported talks with Manchester City come just a month after Anzhi snatched Cameroon international Eto'o from Inter Milan in what was believed to have been a €21 million deal.

The former lower division side have also been boosted by the additions of Brazil's 1994 World Cup winner Roberto Carlos and Russian international left winger Yuri Zhirkov.

Yet Anzhi have still slipped to eighth after a strong start to the season and are currently looking for another striker who can improve their dire tally of 29 goals from 26 matches.
