Nah Newcastle never gave him a kick either. We ended up recalling him I think as he wasn't getting any game time at all.

Kluivert was about 33 or so when he came to the league, played in a terrible newcastle team if i remember, think we can let him off the hook

Rossi was mainly used on the left wing for Newcastle, such a waste when they were struggling for goals

Shevchenkos goal record was not THAT bad at Chelsea, there has been alot worse but obviously he cost so much so you expect more. I know he had just turned 30 but his legs had completely gone by the time he had got to Chelsea. He would have destroyed the pl if he had went to Chelsea 2 or 3 years earlier

George Weah. Yes he was old as fork, but I remember him saying something like "I'll score a hat trick every game in this league".

George Weah's record wasn't that bad for Chelsea - 4 goals in 11 appearances I think. That included the winning goal in a FA Cup semi final. Not too bad for a 34 year old on loan for half a season.
Trying to get an accurate picture of reality, even when that's unpleasant or inconvenient!
