Fergie has come out and expressed his unhappiness at broadcasters

Quote:

The Scot said the vast amount of money pumped into the game by broadcasters means clubs have lost control of their fixture lists.

"When you shake hands with the devil you have to pay the price," he told BBC North West Tonight in an interview to be screened on Monday evening.

"Television is God at the moment

"It shows itself quite clearly because when you see the fixture lists come out now, they can pick and choose whenever they want the top teams on television.

"You get some ridiculous situations when you're playing on Wednesday night in Europe and then at lunchtime the following Saturday.
do people think this should be tackled or is it fine the way it is?

i agree with him

there should be more common sense as well

monday night games and midweek games should be between localish team so newcastle dont have to treck down to london on a monday night (i know it cant be helped in cup games)

City once kicked off at 11.15 for tv

The top clubs would be much better off if they got to sell the rights to each of their games.

But would that not leave them in a worse position for time slots?

In fairness I think Ferguson isn't complaining about his own schedule but every clubs schedule! He is an authorative figure in the game and when he can use his influence to change things for not only the good for united but for the good of the game and the smaller clubs too! nobody would bat an eye lid if roberot martinez was saying this which is why it is good! if you read the full article too i think its clear that he is speaking on behalf of everyone http://www.theplayersnet.com/sir-alex-ferguson-television-power-article/
