Very good manager I think. Should come back just for his eyebrow. It's brilliant.

Yeah he discovered the Pato that had every club in the world after him

Whoever signs Neymar has made one hell of a discovery :p
Is this you trying to be funny or stupid?
Well if you think he discovered Pato its very much you who is being stupid.

Its not like he was a player that wasn't gaining a lot of attention. He didn't pick him out of the AC Milan reserves like Wenger with Vieira or give him his professional debut and see how he should be played like Wenger with Henry. He bought a player that everyone wanted.

vieira and especially Henry were not unknown. They were French he was French not that big a deal. especially if one was at Milan and one was in the world cup 98 squad.

no not his biggest fan. he's not "his own man" does what the board says. which isnt good enough for the best clubs.
'Not his own man' is a little harsh mate. Abramovich has pretty much bummed every manager at Chelsea. He influences the team sheet, buys players then sacks the manager when it doesn't work  He is virtually an impossible employer imo.

The only one to say no to a good Roman bumming was Jose.....who then got sacked!

Carlo is a very good manager and a decent guy, i'd have him at City if we needed a new manager :thumb:
Will be keeping Cech in my pocket for the next 3 months. Thanks Pedro :thumb:

Thats my arguement for him being discovered, no one else knew how he should be played or did they and just decided they didn't want a complete striker?!

Vieira was hardly wanted by every side in the world was he?! He was picked from the AC Milan reserves.

my point is wenger had Henry at monaco and he was part of a world cup winning squad so its not this great discovery really. the fact Vieira was bought by milan also means he wasnt a great discovery by wenger. Vieira went to milan when they were quite successful and had players like Albertini and Desailly in midfield.

He was where when he won the WC? LW. Henry was very much a Wenger discovery. He'd have been a second rate winger if it wasn't for Wenger and it was due to what Wenger discovered that this didn't happen :p Vieiira was in their reserves is where he was so who was taking a risk on him? Wenger knew about him long before Arsenal and long before Milan and thats why he made him his first signing. Hell Vieira was at the club before Wenger was! I actually think Wenger told either Petit or Vieira if he ever came back to Europe he'd sign them.

Fact is Pato was wanted by EVERYONE. It is like I said before calling Neymar a discovery for the manager he joins. They were wanted by....... yeah exactly. They were not exactly unknowns i'll give you that but they were not in the same bracket in terms of profile of those.

As or the topic, decent manager but nothing special imo. Wouldn't want him at Arsenal.

Dont take this the wrong way dude but i honestly dont have the time to go on one of those never ending back and forth arguements on who's wrong and who's right.

You obviously have your opinion on the post however twisted and biased it might be. You're entitled to it.

I on the other hand see you as an antagonist who doesnt digest people's posts and ends up contradicting yourself further down the line.

But the important thing is you have an opinion and you're entitled to it.

Example, Vincent Kompany was bought by Mark Hughes as a Midfielder....his regular position. He was dropped into defence as cover and did very well. Does this make him a Hughes discovery???? No.
IMO your logic or intereptation of being discovered is wrong.

Great players can play in a number of positions and finding the best one for them DOESN'T mean you have discovered them....
Discovering talent and MANAGING the talent in your team are two totally different things.

Arsene developed Henrys talent but by no stretch of the imagination did he discover him

Thats not in anyway the same!!!!! Hughes first of all bought a CB and moved him to DM who then got moved to CB which is different for a start  Not too clued up on Kompany it seems. Henry moved to Monaco in 1992 and Wenger was manager 1988-1994. DISCOVERED.
