This bandwagon is too easy to jump on. How many of those 25% want to be managers? Of those 25% that want to, how many have shown that they are capable or are shown managerial type leadership?

Being a good footballer doesn't mean you're good managerial material and those goes for any person of any colour. Too often, clubs make the mistake of assuming a footballer will make a good manager, just because of his success on the pitch. Sometimes they will, but we have plenty of examples in the PL alone, where very good managers didn't have glittering playing careers and in some cases, didn't play professionally at all.

The do gooders will always jump on a stat like that, but in my view, it has nothing to do with racism.
Trying to get an accurate picture of reality, even when that's unpleasant or inconvenient!

Exactly that :thumb:

The stat is PC shite in a PC world...designed to drum up debate for debates sake.

Good managers will always shine through regardless of colour.

So Hughton and Powell are the only 2 black managers in the football league? It surprises me if anything that there's so few always thought there were a few more.

I know he left them first to take over Blackburn. Then he went back when they sacked him then he walked out to coach Notts County so I don't think MK Dons would want him back, but it is MK Dons we're talking about

Haven't they got the youngest manager in the football league or something now?

25% of current players are black, that wasn't the case a few years ago though. I'd expect the % to increase in 10-15 years.
