Today's fourfourtwo list has FAbio Capello as the highest paid manager in the world, has he been worth it? And what has he achieved as England manager? |

tbh, managing england is a terrible job to have such high expectations with a dearth of average players, scattered with2 (cole and rooney) players that are anywhere near top class |

He still picked the Names rather than the best players for the posisiton IMO he also didnt show any willingness to change style of play dependent on the team that were being faced. Apart from Spain and Barca every other team aproaches games against different strength rivals differently, e.g. Manchester United going 451 away from home in the CL against the bigger sides. There also wasnt much change from the end of the Sven era. The next manager will have a job on his hands, but comes in with an advantage of having a new crop of players coming through that are far better technically than the current players IMO most of which should have developed in the next 2 seasons before the next world cup |

He's won the Scudetto with Milan, Roma and Juventus and La Liga with Real Madrid as well as a European Cup. That's quite impressive in my book. |

To be honest I think someone like Redknapp would be better for England. Capello is a far superior manager obviously, but he doesn't seem like much of a man manager to me - going public with his concerns over Carroll, his handling of Beckham etc. With the talent England have they arn't ever realistically going to win the World Cup, they arn't tactically smart enough for Capello to be effective with them. I think Harrys "go out and enjoy yourselves" approach would get them playing better football and have them believing in themselves more. |

England tried that approach when they appointed keegan, how did that work out!? Arry isn't a good enough manager for international football and i hope he is never offered the job. Capello is doing a great job with What he has. A great manager imo |

I really think its a shambles that a Country of Englands standing in the game has to resort to foreign managers. |

why? You want the best man for the job and it shouldn't matter what nationality they are imo. I am not bothered if they come from mars as long as they can make England into a good team |

Unlucky my ass. England only barely qualified from their group and Germany dismantled them. |

England have benefited from a dodgy ranking system that has gave them favourable draws for years. Capello hasnt taken England to the next step and for the money he is on you would expect better. You say he has done well with what is at his disposal, but any half decent manager can get England to a major championship with the groups you have been in. |
