No morals with some people.
Im with Eco, I like some banter but there is a line you shouldnt cross.
What gets me is the fans who dish out abuse to players then protest when a player reacts or gestures to them.

definitely. no class whatsoever. as if football hasnt gone downhill already to a certain extent in terms of money, diving, cheating etc etc

some fans really need to be banned from attending games. too bad it'll never happen.

That's nothing new tbh. Harry Gregg used to get that about Munich. There's just an element on immorality and thuggery that will always be present in football.

It's like the chants about Munich, Hillsborough, Heysel, etc. It's just pathetic and not even remotely entertaining or funny.

Eh, I wouldn't exactly class Heysel along with Munich and Hillsborough. Not that I encourage singing about it though.

Its more sickening when someone who was directly affected by the incident is the target of the abuse ie Adebayor, Gregg, family of Hillsborough victims etc.

I would class the singing of songs about the 3 events together because the songs that are sung about all those are equally appalling to anyone with the remotest sense of decency.

you couldn't make it up. This chant was from the arsenal fans who used to complain and cry when spurs fans sang about Ades mum and dads jobs.

When Adebayor was playing for us Spurs fans were chanting that. Post Eduardo incident, Birmingham fans were chanting "One Martin Taylor, there's only one Martin Taylor". Where was the hand-wringing then?
THE RIOTERS PRAYER
Our father, who art in prison, my mum knows not his name
Thy Riots come, read it in the sun
In Birmingham as it is in London
Give us this day our welfare bread & forgive us our looting,
as we're happy to loot those who defend stuff against us
Lead us not into employment but deliver us free housing,
for thine is the teles, the Burberry & the Barcardi, forever and ever...Innit !!!!

Everyone was just waiting for arsenal fans to do it so we could have a stick to beat them with.

Far as I'm concerned it's better (or not as bad, depends on your view) now than it's probably ever been.

And that's a direct result in seating stadiums and the working class being priced out of going to games.
