But the thing is, we want to sell our rights because we're so well supported. It doesn't matter if other people aren't interested in our style of play. Our support is large enough.

we might as well breakaway into a european league at this rate

lets be honest though if anyone thinks john henry was in it just for the love of it is deluded

hes a money grabbing **** like the rest of them and i dont mean that as an insult to him
Thats the gist of it, 98% of clubs who have a wealthy owner just have to hope theirs is a better businessman the most rather than them actually caring about the club for more reasons than money/status.

I really hope that this doesn't come into play (the TV thing), i like the fact that the prem is one of/the fairest league in terms of revenue. Wasn't it someone on here who told me that the Italian league is moving to a model close to the prem as well? Hopefully Spain follows suit.
It's a hybrid system of EPL and La Liga. From the TV revenue pot a certain percentage is given to all teams, another amount is given to clubs based on fanbase size (merchandise sales, % attendance etc.), some is given to clubs based on league position and the rest is given based on how many times they actually feature on TV.

I'd hope something similar happens here. Ayres statement is probably just our opening gambit, and in the end we'll settle for a higher percentage.

on talksport they said which clubs had the most fans. Utd had 345 million and Liverpool had 200 million iirc. Both were way out in front of everyone else. You can see why Liverpool want to do it. If these teams just sold their games for 1 pound they would rake it in

What would Shankly say about this, I post this as a serious question. I know alot of scouse LFC fans are up in arms about this. It seems many from outside the city arent as bothered.

Ayre has reiterated that we have no interest in selling our tv rights, but its something that should be looked at in the FUTURE
