Read a comment in teh match day thread from Monu that questioned Kenny's tactical nous. How long do you think Kenny willbe at Liverpool for, and can you see him (or want him) being in the job long term?

Yep he is , he will be here until the end of this season and then one more after that and then the reigns will be passed on. Im not sure who we would go for though. He would hate to step aside for a thug like Jose that would drag the name of the club through the dirt in the search for titles. I think he will have a pretty big say in the choice for our next manager

John W Henry has stated that they didn't actually want him in the first place, it was only how well we played under him and the fan pressure that got him the job. They were very very keen on getting in a young manager a la Villas-Boas.

Tbh, how long he stays in charge will depend very much on progress. The second we have a season where we don't really look like going forward I would expect him to step aside. I'd love for him to be here for many years as a successful manager though and he'll always have a bit more leeway than any other manager at Liverpool

Paps right, he is above sacking. You hire Kenny knowing that that you all agree it's time for himn to go.

If most of you do think he is a stop gap then do you actually want him as your manager now? Surely you'd much rather someone more permanent that you can look to the future with and he can build his own team.

Kenny will know himself that if he doean't get 4th this season that he'll have to walk for the good of the club. We need a tactically intelligent manager to push on (as do all top clubs tbf) and Kenny isn't that.

Steve Clarke is in charge of the training and tactics. Kenny basically tells him what way he wants to play and picks the team afaik.

Does anyone think Steve Clarke will step up? I think he wants to step-up to the managers role myself.

I wouldn't mind him in charge but I think he may need an experienced assistant.

Mourinho reckons he could be a manager no problem. Looks like a bum too much for it to ever work though.
