good answer, but in all seriousness. I know LFC still has a massive draw, but do you think a player like say Suarez would have joined if Utd, Barca etc had tabled a matching bid?

So he doesnt want to be at Liverpool really... Hmmm, thats not good. I have changed my mind about Kenny! He should stay, doing a great job, spending loads of money & getting the results i want to see B)

By your logic 99% of players don't really want to be at their club.

I wouldnt disagree. Its funny when fans think their players are so loyal & really want to come to their club cos the player said so.

If Kenny doesn't finish 4th this season he should go imo. Most of his signings so far have looked poor and if Suarez gets injured you really have no-one to get the goals you need.
Still early days but the signs are not good.
Will be keeping Cech in my pocket for the next 3 months. Thanks Pedro :thumb:

Bit harsh if he doesnt get 4th IMO, outside the top 6 then yes.

Spurs are a step ahead in their development as a side, they had the squad they just needed to bring in better players into the first team(like Parker and Ade), we will start to see Liverpool do this in the next few transfer windows.

I also don't think you can write Arsenal off, RVP is probably the most in form player in the league currently and if he stays fit they will be pushing that 4th spot.

As a side note the bookies have Liverpool down for a 6th place finish (based on giving 5 other teams better odds of top 4) again. Despite Newcastle starting brilliantly they are, unsurprisingly, WAY off in the odds for top 4. As much as i doubt it will happen i would like to see Newcastle stay up near the top of the table.

Really think Kenny is being judged really hard by some people. We are in a rebuilding process and we at the point city were about a year or two ago. Considering they were pushing for top 4 since the asian lad came in it took them a while and good few quid to get the mix right.
Fergie didnt just start winning trophies in his first year at utd and even in with Avb its going to look like a year or so before he gets its right

I think as it stands we will be 6th, RVP is teairng the league apart and spurs are far more ruthless than we are. We have a decent squad but we lack in certain areas . Spurs look more likely than us to get 4th and Arsenal do aswell. Unless we go out and spend big on a striker and right winger in Jan I just dont see how we can finish above them both.

Well the difference there is that City were transformed from a club hovering not far above the relegation places (15th, 14th and 9th in the three years before being bought) to a club that are currently title favourites in a little over three seasons. Rather than being a club that had probably averaged 4th in the 3 years before arriving being ear marked for the Europa places.

The argument about being given time could equally apply to your ill fated manager at this time last year.

So by that logic Hughes could have won the league given more time with city?

Or Carlo?
