I'm not the one saying every manager needs to be given time. You implied that Dalglish should be given more time than he has had due to there being some major rebuilding required. However that same logic was not applied to your previous manager despite being in a worse situation. A common opinion on here, and elsewhere, was that Hodgson held you back last season and that Dalglish did a briliant job to get you to 6th (i am not debating that before the cries of "How can you defend Hodgson" appear), so if he doesn't manage any better than 6th again this year that just reinforces my view of him, that he is there to "steady the ship" and isn't capable of taking Liverpool farther despite having backing that most managers can only dream of. |

Ok so with Rebuilding Kenny has brought in Suarez, Carroll, Downing, Henderson, Coates While Roy brought in Joe Cole, Konchsky and Jova Now what looks like more like rebuilding there? And your very right not all managers deserve time, roy being one of them |

How is it fair to compare manager's transfers when one was given a negative transfer balance and the other was given almost free reign ![]() Joe Cole was seen as a good buy at the time, especially being free. Carroll, Downing and Henderson are being widely seen as 'underwhelming' while coates isn't even a first team player is he? But anyway, my final question is this: If Dalglish deserves another full season (you clearly think he should be kept on regardless of this season's final position and im assuming you wouldn't countenance sacking him halfway through next season) after this one but only manages the Europa places again would you still see that as part of the rebuilding? |

Yeah Joe Cole was seen as decent for free, except for the sign on fee and wages that pretty much cost us 5 million With the exception of Downing there all young and while they havnt been amazing it a step in the right direction. And to answer your question yes although it would depend how far we miss out on the top 4 by if we challanging for it then yeah there is no reason why he should be sacked, if not then deal with that problem when we get to it |

And if he just misses out on 4th but gets a much better points total than we were heading for last season what would you think. I think Spurs are rightly favourites for 4th, but we should at least be pushing them hard all the way. If we are only a few points off 4th, or in 4th, come Christmas time, i see no reason why we shouldnt finish off the season well like we always seem to do so. |

problem is that the squad needs time to gel, spurs and city are great examples of this, city look much better with not many new additions at all to their style of play the main change has been I suppose aguero for tevez, it took them around 1 year to really get that quick link play going spurs the same if you look at our team, henederson, downing, adams, suarez, carrol and enrique have not had hardly any time to gel with EACH other not excusing we should be doing better of course even right now, my issues are not with the ability to defending or creativity which used to be huge issues, its with finishing the chances which again keep costing us I have no doubt next season we will be better even with the same lads. their decision to buy carroll has really backfired and thats been really bad for us this season, others I am not too worried about If you remember on here, I was actually a bit annoyed with not getting in a couple of more players at times, I think our net spend was 30-35m, I am sure it was me and crouchy who said we needed another striker, if you look now we are desperate fr one, a right winger as well |

Dalglish is on a 2 year contract isn't he? I'm thinking that he'll finish it out and you'll have someone else in by the start of the 13/14 season. He wouldn't be fired. |
