Our start to the season has been very good.
Has it? 8 points behind already arnt you? For the money you have spent its not that good at all. Average at best.
Looking at the table after 8 games is pointless because of the difference in fixtures.

In what way isnt he up to the job?
Doesnt now how to pick a player these days, team selection, formation & subs from what he has are not up to scratch. Not enough of a true leader in the football sense, bad business acumen.

He has the support of the Kop & that of course counts for something match days & there is no doubting his passion, but he has been to far removed from the pitch for too long, indeed his last outings in managment where terrible as well

Would you want him as your manager?
I'm sorry but a true leader is one thing you can't say he isn't. Business acumen wouldn't be a thing I'd be looking for when appointing a football manager, he identifies players or types of players then leaves the financial decisions to Comolli and the board.

I was asked not to upset Liverpool fans with the frank truth & well backed up honest opinions like saying Carroll is very overpriced at £35M & that Adam wouldnt be wanted at any of the top 4 from last year.

I was asked to adhere to that in the Liverpool main thread, not on any threads to do with Liverpool. I of course respected the person who asked me not to you the Liverpool fans & stopped doing so.

Liverpool fans think its shite because they don't like the truth :balotelli:

I dont agree that he is a good leader of a modern day football club for the reasons already stated, of course he is a great man manager though.

Arnt all posts made to create debate and therefore get a reaction? Or do you not want people to reply to your posts? Indeed haven't you just posted what you did to get a reaction? And what have I made up?

hang on a minute.

he signed players like alan shearer, chris sutton, tim sherwood and re-signed colin hendry all whom where major contributors to blacburn winning the pl under his stewardship.

he was brought back to steady the ship because we were sinking fast till fsg and kenny came along. i didnt want him myself because of the amount of time he had been out the game but hes done exactly what he was brought into do.

my thoughts on who the next manager should be. personally i feel a younger manger who can be here for 10+ years is needed. jurgen klopp is the man for me

you said his last outings as manager were terrible as well. newcastle, celtic yes he was a failure but thats because the football landscape at that time was changing and for someone like kenny it was always going to be hard to adapt.

bad business acumen care to elaborate on that because if your on about the prices he paid for henderson, downing and carroll. thats the way fsg do business not kenny, also add to that they are all english players so over the odds will always be paid.

Kenny is nothing but a motivator from what iv seen, that guy from spurs(comioni?) sorts the transfers and that guy from chelse(clarke?) does the tactics. Kenny just has final say on what they do, delegation at its finest!

I do think he was just a stop gap until the end of last season, he did well and the fans love him so he was kept on. I doubt he would have been allowed to spend £~70m on players this summer if he was just a stop gap, he is obviously in a full time role now.
