i think we are very strong in the centre back area, probably one of the strongest in the division tbh
Really?

Carragher is past his best at this stage and Skrtel is a disaster.
Andre Wisdom nuff said....
they guys a beast, i have been banging on about him since he first came to the academy.

we also have wilson but hes still a bit raw tbh
Wisdom and Rafferty have made some ressie partnership

Wilson won't make it with us imo

no, we have gotten much worse. we sold our 2 best players and replaced them with a flop, marc hasnt developed like everyone thought he would. the midfield is stale and boring, no bite or creativity. hutton is s**t, dunne is too old and should be clarke and collins at CB.

the only positives are the form or gabby and bannan. & that we have a class goalkeeper.

Ut'd are playing far too open and don't have the players with the discipline required to play such a style. Anderson is a headless chicken with no tactical awareness and leaves gaps everywhere, Cleverly is learning at this level and was expected to cover Anderson, Fletcher isn't up to his best yet after injury and really needs a quality playmaker alongside him to show his best attributes, Carrick should never play against Barca as he just watches and admires Xavi and takes an age to get it out his system & Giggs will only play sporadically. Defence has had a lot of injuries which has been hard to cope with but the young players will have learned a lot from it, it has made DDG settling in period harder but he seems to be coming through it which shows he is mentally tough. Out wide and up front I think has been very positive with the ease at which Young has settled and the start Wellbeck has made to the season.

Well we rae worse off in goal. Not that De Gea is bad or anything, evreyone would accept VDS was better though. And I don't expect him to be as good as/better than VDS.

We are probably stronger in defence with the addition of Jones, but RIo has also gotten worse frm last season and it still doesn't look as if we have a RB.

Midfield is far worse than last year. Giggs has been truely dreadful and its obvious that we are clearly missing Scholes.

I agree 100% with the Anderson analysis. He is so tactically unware i cringe watching him play. ww
Rivaldo greatest player in my time

Yeah you're spot on tbh, i was half asleep last night when i asked that. Didn't even register in my brain that we'd lost Scholes

Arsenal's main area of improvement so far has been in defence. We're just better at it than last season as can be seen from our successfully defending 1-0 leads against Udinese and Swansea for 86 minutes and an entire second half respectively. Our recent win at Marseille felt like I'd stepped in a time machine and gone back to 1994. We've got a big forking German (as the song goes) who hasn't done all that bad and neither is Carl Jenkinson who has played well deputising for Sagna. Andre Santos and Kieran Gibbs are looking good at left back (certainly better than the disastrous Clichy).
THE RIOTERS PRAYER
Our father, who art in prison, my mum knows not his name
Thy Riots come, read it in the sun
In Birmingham as it is in London
Give us this day our welfare bread & forgive us our looting,
as we're happy to loot those who defend stuff against us
Lead us not into employment but deliver us free housing,
for thine is the teles, the Burberry & the Barcardi, forever and ever...Innit !!!!

I'm happy with how we're looking; we're playing well, scoring goals and looking good doing it! My one concern at this point is that we've had a very easy opening run of games. With the exception of Man Utd away, we would have been expected to win every game so far. As it is, we've almost done that, with the exception of a draw at Stoke on the opening day.

Having a relatively easy opening has been a dream for AVB. It's allowed him to impose his philosophy and style, whilst blooding the new players, but still racking up the points and confidence. I think the next 8 games will tell us more about Chelsea than the last 8.

30 games to go and we've still got to play Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool and City twice and Man Utd once! Still, the other 21 games should be easy!!
Ignore what I said earlier, we're in the poo!

Still, the other 21 20 games should be easy!

City are boring to watch and havent really improved at all

we need a real manager, not Mancini

edit,

now really... City are now a proper team who will work for each other, Mancini has gotten rid of the trouble causers and he is now doing what he said he would once he got HIS team

the fa cup win gelled the players into a team
