So you make a new team and assume every player is available in world football... Build an 11 man team. Try and keep it realistic in cost terms (e.g - no Messi for £2.50 and a pack of fags).

May I suggest using www.transfermarkt.co.uk as a price guide? It may annoy some people with values but at least no one could dispute values.

This is a great idea, surprised it hasn't been thought of before.......... You could call it, ooohh, I don't know, Fantasy Manager or something!

Trying to get an accurate picture of reality, even when that's unpleasant or inconvenient!

So, given £150m to spend to make the best team possible, five of your eleven would be current or very recently departed Liverpool players?

I was building that around the defence and that awesome strike force

Lucas and Enrique are both excellent players and very fairly price and Suarez is the dogs bollocks. Adam was a very lazy pick I had 11m left and threw him in. I will change that during the day

I'd take Messi and Xavi, then just waste the rest of my £22m on extravagance!

Wilshere will go for that amount when he hands in a transfer request like everyone else :thumb:

Yeah of course!

Also -

Liverpool would sell Saurez for under £25M & also let Enrique go for the same if not less than what they paid for him!

Utd would also sell an ever improving Smalling for less than they paid for him & Man City would of course dump one of the best right back english talents for half the price Liverpool paid for Downing :balotelli:

It's so everyone is on a level playing field and prices cannot be debated.
