At the minute, yes. Aguero is the only one pushing him close.

Cant deny he's really doing the business atm. Impressive hit rate.

He's is by no means the best striker in the PL though imo. It's just that he's Arsenals only Quality striker and has managed to stay fit for a period of time.

Rooney, Aguero have to share their goals with 2 or 3 other quality strikers, RVP doesn't.
Will be keeping Cech in my pocket for the next 3 months. Thanks Pedro :thumb:

Surely that adds more pressure though and makes it more impressive. It's much harder carrying a team than coasting along with one

I haven't been his biggest fan on here in the past, but I have to say his recent stats are mightily impressive. 29 goals in his last 28 games and I believe he's on 31 goals for 2011. That's got to be 35 plus come 31 December.

Trying to get an accurate picture of reality, even when that's unpleasant or inconvenient!

GOAT.
Ever since he moved to CF he has been world class and in the past 12 months he has raised his game even more. Top 2 with Aguero without a doubt.

better than Aguero atm imo. Aguero still doesn't look up to speed yet. rvp is an excellent player and i think he is the best cf atm in the league. I also like the fact that he has that dirty little edge to his game. The only problem is is he is due an injury soon.

Agreed, but we're not talking about pressure. If you are a good finisher like RVP then you'll get goals, if all the chances come to you you'll get more.

Rooney shares his with Berbatov, Hernandez and Welbeck. Aguero shares his with Dzeko, Mario and our midfield....and defenders ;)

Not suggesting he's shite only his goals tally is helped by the total lack of competition in front of goal.

Its by far and away his best season in 8 attampts at Arsenal...the other 7 weren't so great though injury hasn't helped him i know.
Will be keeping Cech in my pocket for the next 3 months. Thanks Pedro :thumb:

Best striker at the moment? By an absolute distance.

Striker = scoring goals. 28 out of 28 is a record that cannot be argued with
