He would walk into any team in the world right now. the best the EPL has got to offer. Indeed I would go as far to say he is the only EPL player that would walk into any team in the world. Thats makes him the best EPL player right now, let alone the best striker. RVP, we salute you |

It's my opinion mate, i dont give a s**t if you like or agree with it. I'm sure there have been players you have heard people raving about but dont quite see where they are coming from RVP is that for me. If you had managed to read further on you might have noticed i said i am far from calling him s**t, the guy is class and his current spell proves that. My point is due to injury he has been hit and miss and never quite met his potential. Over most of his Arsenal career he has not fulfilled his full potential...FACT. That is most likely due to injury but the fact still remains....the same as Owen Hargraves during the last few years, Marco Van Basten of yesteryear etc etc. If RVP stays injury free and keeps this form for a few seasons no-one could argue he's world class but a few purple patches inbetween long term injury after another means he wont achieve his full potential... IMO! |
Will be keeping Cech in my pocket for the next 3 months. Thanks Pedro

What do you expect his full potiential to be?! Do you expect Lionel Messi to come from him all of a sudden? The level he is currently playing at is better than the level any striker in the PL currently has reached. He hasn't yet done it for a full season but other than Drogba 09/10 I can't think of a striker in the league currently who has ever played this well. He offers more than prime Torres ever did and the only thing you could put against RvP is he didn't score as many as a prime Torres did. That arguement has totally gone. Rooney? I think van Persie offers more than Rooney does and when Rooney scored a large ammount his allround game suffered. That isn't happening with RvP. So if you thing he still has more to come then you infact rate van Persie higher than all of us. You just don't know it yet. |

Mate i'm not gonna dance around in circles with you anymore on this point because it's done to death for me. To reach his full potential as i'm sure i pointed out fairly clearly in my last post will be for him to produce his current form which everyone is saying is his level, over the next couple or three seasons....or at least one full one to start with. I know you and fellow gooners love him and i can partially see why but not everyone has too ... I'm one of the ones who doesn't ..... If he had managed to stay fit and produce this form consistently then we wouldn't even be having this conversation cos he'd be at Barcalona anyway. I've said my bit on this topic. If he is still playing this well in May i'll post again and give him the credit he's due. |

Don't you reach somewhere when you get there? So if he reaches the best he can play surely he reaches his potiential? Or do you need to win things for that to count? Meaning Shearer and Le Tissier never reached their full potiential? I for one think Shearer's career wasn't all that great IN COMPARISON to what most people make it out to be due to what he could have won. So if you think you have to win things then i'd agree but if you just mean stay fit then I can't agree. With most people i'd agree they need to do it for a full season becuase it could just be a good run of form but RvP does it EVERYTIME he is fit. Its not just a one off he plays well with others it is. So its only Arsenal fans that rate him? I doubt you'll find too many Arsenal fans more critical of him than me. Infact you probably thought he played well during the 08/09 season when he really was not all that. The majority of people thought otherwise though. Please read the last part above again. Surely if you remembered going around in circles you'd remember what I said and you wouldn't have felt the need to include me in the fans who wink him off regardless. |
