The situation is still no different. You used the transformation of the club like it means its impossible to drop him. You'd pick Henry over Bergkamp so you'd not stick to this rule elsewhere. The only difference is you don't rate the person who did the transformation higher in the Arsenal case. Either that or him being part of the transformation means nothing.

omg...... only can be counted when it suits you? :S

You used that as a reason (not 100% that) he can not be dropped, correct?

You would not agree with that if it came down to Bergkamp vs Henry, correct?

Whats the only difference? You rate a certain player higher in the second scenario, correct?

So either it makes no difference that he changed United/had the biggest influence or you are just picking and choosing when that plays a major role.

Goonie's right here imo, especially with his last line. I think nostalgia is playing a huge part in your pick tbh. You're doing Ruud massive disservice comparing him to Chico. He was a much more complete player.

last words hey?
Last words? :S If you're implying I am after getting the last word then no as if you looked I left a question mark. I actually wanted them answers meaning if you answered yes to all then I wouldn't have responded as i'd have had what I thought confirmed and if you had said no i'd have asked another question on it and then hoping for another response.

If you meant were they my last words on the subject? Yes seeing as you've not answered them.

if people actually read Manus post, he said that he would pick Cantona ahead of ruud.

the 2nd post being before any of this "what he did for the club bollocks came about"

I honestly don't know where Goonie is going with his posts. The Henry/Berkamp similarity is invalid as manu thinks Cantona was better anyway. Goonie seems to have missed this on several occasions

Its not invalid at all so these "several occasions" do not exist.

The reason its not different is he said he can not be dropped becuase of the transformation. To me that says regardless he was picking Cantona becuase he apparently can't be dropped.

The Bergkamp/Henry example is spot on as in that case he himself would not go for the player who had the biggest influence in the transformation. I'm not giving my opinion on Bergkamp vs Henry i'm asking for his.

Nice to see you reading around comments when you are proved wrong. :thumb:

In manus case Cantona is the better player therefore gets in the side. Easy.

Goonie its about opinions, Manu prefers Cantona, you may not(not that you saw Cantona) so you are arguing purely cos someone has a different opinion to you(at least that's how it comes across). then again you dont really post mush else

Reading around comments? I haven't been proved wrong as that clearly shows he said that before any of what you posted showing EVERYONE was correct in using that. Not wrong in the slightest.

He didn't say that did he he just said he couldn't be left out due to him transforming United BEFORE WHAT YOU POSTED. Easy.

I know its about opinions but he said he can't leave him out becuase of the transformation. I am not arguing his choice of Cantona but his feeble reasoning due to the double standards becuase what would he do with Henry vs Bergkamp? Also yes I did watch Cantona lol nice try though.
