Did he die serving his country whilst representing a Welsh Regiment? Is so, yes you can have a free shirt too.

Yall plenty of people die each day for a cause, not for praise, not for free items, they do it for the cause.

If you care about the guy you can buy one yourself forget about charity.
I care about every 'guy' who dies in such circumstances. Sadly, it appears too few of our nation do.

I would gladly buy the shirt myself, but you're clearly too mince to understand the request from his family. It's the fact that it would have been donated by the club he loved, that would have made it symbolic. Not just having any Cardiff shirt.

If words such as symbolic, sentimental and honour escape you, look them up. You might learn something about humanity, perhaps even humility.

What contempt lol.

It's quite pathetic that his family would use his death to try wrangle free stuff from his so called beloved club. If they wanted to drape something over his coffin there's bound to be a Cardiff jerssey lying around his possessions somewhere....that is if he's as big a fan as mentioned.
Do you not think that a shirt donated by your beloved club might just be worth a little more sentimentally than one that he picked up maybe a year ago. So no, not pathetic at all. An act of love by his family to give him a final gift that would have put a huge smile on his face perhaps?

Personlly I think they've approached it wrongly tbh in asking for free stuff. Perhaps if they sent a jersey and asked for it to be signed by the squad or asked for a club rep to attend the funeral then I wouldn't see it the way I do currently. Those two things are special, one of a kind things that only the club can supply.

Why ask for a brand new kit by the club? They go into the club shop and buy a kit they're effectively getting the same thing they'd be getting if the club said yes.

The cause??

It's not him asking you moron, he's dead!! So he can't be accused of anything, much less seeking praise.
