I don't understand that. If I was a Utd fan and I'd witnessed that. Regardless of what my opinion is on the EL I'd be furious at the tactics and lack of concentration. Does it not bother you Fergie got it wrong again? |

Don't get me wrong, I'm pissed off with the performance and how bad we have been in both the Champions League and the Europa League. Yes it bothers me that Fergie's tactics were completely wrong but at the end of the day, the Premier League is the priority and imo since we got knocked out of the Champions League, the younger players should have been given a chance in the Europa League, like the way Spurs did this season |

I am still never quite prepared for just how shite our midfield is until the first 5 mins of the next match. Then all those feelings of wanting to kill the closest person to me with a claw hammer come flooding back. Hand on heart I wanted them to score more because I think there's NOTHING else that will convince Fergie we aren't good enough to compete with the best teams. Beating s**t in the prem seems to make him think theres nothing wrong...or that "we can manage". Well we forking can't and losses like tonight coupled with those against Ajax and the p*** poor performance in the CL must be ringing alarm bells by now...I hope! |

Well seeing Scholes has signed on for another year I'd assume he believes it's still going swimmingly. I know the feeling of hoping a defeat enlightens someone but I'm genuinely interested to see if finances are an issue. I think back to the times you've strengthened your squad and the majority of the time it wasn''t to replace it was to support. But assessing your midfield it's come to the point where it is most definitely replace. |

That's fair enough as a fan you'd want the focus to be on the League but I have a very different outlook on how youngsters should be developed. If you had a bunch of your fringe coupled with youths it could've been a very traumatic experience.

Yeh the finance thing is def a question here, but when he's spending £18m on Ashley Young (and doubling his wages from Villa) you have to wonder. We've spent money which could have been used to buy quality in much needed areas, not trying to corner the world market on wingers! ![]() Our midfield was pretty shot in 2005 as well. Scholes had that eye injury and Keano's best days were well and truly over. Quinten fortune and sticking Alan Smth in midfield seemed to be the future after the disaster that was Djemba Djemba and the brazilian WC m/f whose name I forget. Anyway, he soon realised we couldn't compete with Chelsea and we got knocked out the CL in group stages. This is what gives me hope that he will take drastic action again. Not convinced though. |

He keeps springing the same line. "There's no value in the market" No offence but your scouts are s**t lol and I'm not letting you get away with that one treb. Kleberson ![]() It's a wonder an absolute wonder Utd are so damn competitive. He's had alot of critics this year but moments of pure class have come from Ryan Giggs. It's as if Fergie wants to bleed the quality dry out of Scholes, Giggs and Carrick before a drastic change is made. Not only would fresh legs in midfield have provided extra competition but it could've taken Utd that step closer to changing their emphasis in terms of a pressing game. I lol'd when Utd signed Young and if they go another summer without a new CM I'd say time will catch up on that randy bastard Giggs and we'd be witnessing Rooney in CM after another injury ravaged season

The forums changed so I've had to change. When my posts were just complete quality they'd go unanswered. You have to be light hearted now. |
