If you believe the pundits and experts then 44 points will be needed to stay in the prem this season, Matt Le tiss reckons United might need over 85points to win it.
My point is that Fulham had everything to play for tonight, and with the penalty decision in all honesty they deserved a point.
If you look at the game Fulham were doing what Athletic have shown has to be done, and that's press the ball, Fulham made it very difficult for us to play, they defended in depth and in numbers, we were not fast enough coming forward.

I agree with Treble on this one, we needed Berbatov in there to hold the ball up and lay it off.
Evans MOTM, fully deserved, had a top game, and got an assist.

No one said you should forget the glaring problems, we all know the glaring problems, they're glaring. But there's fork all that can be done about it at this stage of the season. We're top of the league vs local rivals that have spent half a billion quid, we've a record goals haul for this stage of the season and all this in a season with the worst injury crisis I can recall at the club. And yet you're sat there shiteing on how you're bored watching us play. At this stage of the season I couldn't give a fork about the performances, 3 points is all that matters.
We have played boring football all season. Am I not allowed an opinion on the style of football we are playing?
The football at the start of the season was pretty hot, tbf

Yeh we have. So why do I get accused of not supporting us when I basically say the same thing???
i never actually said you dont support the team. treble asked me a question and i answered it. i didnt even quote a post by you until after you quoted me first. but to be honest, it doesn't come across that way and like i said, each to their own, i just don't understand it.

you have even said yourself you dont like watching us anymore, you have no passion anymore, and your posts certainly reflect it. if i'm wrong about you then fine, like i said it's just the way it comes across. your opinion is that i have a terrible attitude, but thats okay?

Does not mean I am a sham or do not support the team...I never once said I am not happy with winning. I don't however have to be happy with the football we play. I comment in here on what i see during the match. Is it ok for others to come in at the end and say how shite we were...

Yup. It was broken up by the beginning of the injuries and cost us a load of momentum

A fan is HAPPIER playing worse football winning a worse competition? Or are you talking about forgetting about the problems and blindly supporting the team?
Agreed.

Why is it a crime to want to watch your team playing good football? I'm a fan of football as much as I am a fan of Man Utd. What's the point of just saying yeah everything's fine bcos we won.

Why watch then, just check the results and be content.

gawd! those were the days. i remember how excited i was at the start of the season, after thinking our squad hadn't been strengthened over the summer our newbies and youngies went out and played brilliantly...

...and then it all went a bit poo with the injuries and here we are. we have a lot of our players back though so I expected more at this stage.

anyway, its 3 points and thats what matters right now. we got away with it again, but i dont think we'll be so lucky come april 30th so our players need to step it up.

I said you're a sham in response to you saying you would cheer less if we won the league because we haven't played great. Yeah everyone would prefer if we were playing champagne football but I think if we win this year it will be one of the sweetest knowing we have played so badly and still beaten a City side that have spent 100's of millions and that everyone has been creaming themselves over.

I don't see how not being as happy as previous years when we played good football is a crime.

Btw it's one thing for fans to get edgy when Danny Murphy comes on, but not your forking players

And Blackburn away next. The day El finally bows down to Steve Kean and asks for forgiveness.

I'm forking sick of Evra captaining our club. His performances are a forking disgrace to the history and tradition of our captains armband.

Having said that, was fully expecting a close match and wasn't expecting much of a performance. Giggs was terrible the whole game I've no idea why Fergie refuses to sub him when he's clearly a hindrance. Unfortunately these games from him are far more regular than his good performances but well still be relying on him as our creative midfielder next year.

Dont know if i watched a different game to Viva but i though Giggs was decent last night. Some of his passes were class and his energy was still decent for a man of his age.

Fulham deserved a point out of the game and a stronger Ref would have given them it too, disgraceful lack of bollox on his part for the penalty.

United looked nervous for large periods of the game which for me was an encouraging sign but getting 3 points is what its all about now....not how you get them.
Will be keeping Cech in my pocket for the next 3 months. Thanks Pedro :thumb:

tbh, i am not arsed how my team plays, as long as they win

if utd win the league at the end of the season, this performance will be forgotten and you will all be getting pissed on guinness

in an ideal world, the team would be exciting to watch and winning, canty have both all of the time.

didnt watch the match, but i heard that it should have been a penalty, i also heard that utd should have had a penalty. got the points they needed to go back to the top

did rooney get a knock? and when is nani back?
